Just a head's up that I am compiling a list of nominees for this year's King of the Hardwood tournament.

You can post your nominees here, or keep posting it in the Hot Jocks section, under each particular sport. I am checking those threads to add contestants to the list. Not all athletes will make the list.

Last year's winner was David Williams. Actually, the 3 of the past 4 champions have been Rugby/Footy players. Can someone dethrone them this year?

I don't plan on making a huge change to the format this year. I am leaning towards qualifying rounds (by sport) like KOTH V.

Also, if anyone knows of a good site to run polls, please let me know.

I think in light of his coming out Gareth Thomas should win a special award for being out and fantastically attractive and most important still professionally active

For those not familiar with the tournament. The athlete has to be a professional athlete, unless the sport does not have a professional league (ex. Track & Field).

Couple of updates.

I have included many of the athletes in this thread on the initial list of nominees.

Alexandre Pato was on the list even before the "influential" shots! lol.

There was one athlete who wasn't going to be on this year's list, and then he goes and shoots an ad campaign half nekkid!

And then there is Ben Cohen. What to do with him? I always think I should leave this past champion off the list, but then he goes and releases a calendar and just makes me jot his name down on the nominee list.

I have a good list going with a mix of new athletes, the return of some who have been away for a couple of years (including one who is just Super) and, hopefully, the return of some NBA players. And for the first time, there may be one or two Pro Lacrosse players on the list.

I don't think the Rugby/Footy division is as strong as it has been in years past, but they like to take off their clothes so they are probably going to be one of the favorites to win the tournament.
