Well they won't allow him to instill fair competition in other private concerns, like the health care insurance industry or TBTF banking, so maybe we can find agreement to instill it in sports at academic institutions - just as the NFL has tried to mandate parity in the professional game.

I personally wish there was a playoff system, but I don't want this to happen because the U.S. Justice Dept. sticks their nose into it.

The government is already involved. Whenever it actively decides to exclude sports from monopoly laws it is following the same path as it did with the financial industry.
