If any of my preppie friends ever find out I even watch wrestling (albeit only for the homoerotic overtones that Jesse Ventura denied on the Daily Show a few years back), I will never be able to show my face on the Cape again. That being said
GOLDBERG, GOLDBERG, GOLDBERG!
Give me a huge ex-footballplayer who sweats that much any day (pauses to let the rush of lust move through him). I'd take Brock as a substitute (or how about a three-way), but I'd LOVE to be NEXT for Goldberg.

My favorites fall into two different categories. There are the "my gosh, he's an amazing wrestler" and then there is the "My gosh, he's a HOT wrestler."
In the "amazing" category go people like RVD, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy.
In the "Hot" category, well, Goldberg tops this list, with Kurt Angle, John Cena, "coach" morely, Lance Storm, and "Meat" (who's current name escapes me)

There was also that guy whose stage name was "Mister Ass" or something like that. He was hot.

Trevor he goes by "Test" now, and Ung he was "The Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, now it is just Billy Gunn. Thanks to the Undertaker's "American Bad-Ass" WWE thought it would be 2 confusing! Not like the switch from WWF to WWE wasn't! Get the "F" out! LOL

Hmm. Yes, randy orten can go under the "hot" category as well.

We should demote all of you: pro wrestling is not a sport.
It is the "toxic waste dump" of athletics: athletic men doped up on steroids, dying in their early 40s, having more in common with soap-opera actors than real athletes, destined to die with small gonads and some form of cancer.
Can't even believe that there are thinking men that would even buy this bullshit. Where is Lyle Alzado when you need him?
Well I'm sure that pretty much everyone on here that watches Pro Wrestling doesn't ACTUALLY believe it is real, and besides, most of them are very good athletes, just as well conditioned as athletes in most other sports. They are performing 200+ days a year and sometimes going full-tilt for a half hour at a time. I'm sorry but just because the outcome is pre-determined doesn't make the athleticism any less real.

Last I remember, Lyle Alzado was wearing a mask pretending to be a wrestler on a short lived tv show where he spent his daily life as a school teacher. Then he died from something called brain cancer, caused by steroids playing FOOTBALL.

All I will say is Pro Wrestling is more of a sport than "Politics and Religion" which currently is dominating the messages on this board! Yes Pro Wrestling matches are pre-determined, sometimes even predictable, but be real the men and women who participate are indeed athletes! Very high-skilled athletes!

Not to mention - these guys (and gals) actually have to get their own bags, and fly commercial! I was in Logan airport a couple of years ago and realized the huge (and I mean HUGE) man at the luggage corral was the Undertaker! He only looks a little less mean than on TV

.
As for the "is it a sport" question - no, but stuntmen don't act and they still get respect for their profession.
if golfers can be considered athletes, pro wrestlers certainly qualify.

My favorites: the Rock, Goldberg, Harlem Heat (though they broke up), Steve Austin, and the late Rick Rude. He was gorgeous. When I was a little kid I loved Jimmy Snuka.
I want to see the Rock and Goldberg get it on! Robbie Williams, the British pop star, admitted that he "fancied" the Rock, who is one of the most beautiful men in semi-pro sports--is he still in semi-pro Wrestling?

The Rock and Goldberg has their first match at last month's pay per view, with Goldberg winning. The Rock is now on another hiatus to do his movie stuff. He's got at least 2 new movies coming up, so Im sure he needs to promote that.
And I am also with you on the Harlem Heat thing. Though at least we can still watch Booker T and he also uses the same music from Harlem Heat (which is probably over 10 years old, which is pretty unheard of for ring entrance music..the old WCW did a good job on something for once)

I just heard about the death of "Miss Elizabeth"! Too many people connected to pro wrestling die young. She died on May 1, and had been living wth her boyfriend Larry Pfohl, a.k.a. Lex Luger.
While investigating her death, police found controlled substances, including large quantities of anabolic steriods, and arrested Pfohl. He had been arrested on April 19 on battery charges, accused of punching Elizabeth in the face.
In the latest news I could find, the cause of death is still undetermined. Police have ruled out foul play, and say that she had been mixing vodka with painkillers on the night of her death.

Any predictions for the Judgement Day ppv?
Who will win the newly brought back Intercontinental Title?
Who will win between Triple H and Kevin Nash?
Do we really need to see "Mr America" vs Roddy Piper?
How long will it take for us to get sick of them posing 2 hot Canadian boys (La Resistance- 25 yr old Sylvain Grenier and 19 yr old Rene Dupree) as evil Frenchmen?

have we seen La Resistance before? I don't mean the gimmick, we had the Quebbecers before, and the Mountie (yum).
While making fun of the French is fashionable these days, especially in England, I wonder if McMahon is on a slipperly slope with the Theodore Long story line about blacks, whites keeping them down, etc. I don't think it's really a good plot line to carry along.

Well I think they were about to go the racist road with the Booker T and HHH feud but thought better of it. HHH made a comment before their match on Raw that Booker T was just there for entertainment. Thats the last time you heard that comment though.
Its easier to try out a racial angle with someone new and easier to get rid of if they screw up or take it too far, like Rodney Mack. Though personally I think it would have worked better if they brought back Slick as the manager, rather than Teddy Long. Slick is a better pimp daddy than Teddy.
But then again, it just shows you can only go so far with stereotypes before they become truly offensive. You notice theyre only pushing the envelope with some lesbian innuendo between their 2 Playboy covergirls now and staying away from the gay male characters. Lets hope WWE doesnt get burnt on the black thing and doesnt go too far with it. Maybe GLAAD will buy them some afro sheen as a party gift.

It was nice to see Randy Orten last night, I must say. YUM!
But, the memebers of La Resistence are nothing to sneeze at, their stichk will die soon and they will need something new. But I would happily pin either of them down for awhile.
So, while I will not buy teh PPV this weekend:
Scott Steiner will beat Test
HHH will beat Kevin Nash.
Ric Flair will beat Shawn Michaels
I am not sure about the other matches, but those are my thoughts.

You are correct. Dupree is 19. Grenier is 25. But damn good wrestlers for such young ages so far.

Im just wondering if he will actually do so on Smackdown, or just continue to be the "gimpy friend" of Mr "Im Not Hulk Hogan" America.
