I'm not sure whether Walker actually ditched his teammates or anyone else. It seems Favre is upset that he missed a minicamp (which BTW Favre had already been previously excused from, for a legitimate reason I'm sure. Walker's missing the camp was a "holdout" due to his contract dispute. And that's Favre's beef.)

I'd say even if Walker is only in the top 25 (almost a dead certainty) that still seems like a huge disparity.

I think the problem may be that Green Bay simply isn't a big time market that can foot the bill. Unless there is some sort of way that a parity rule can require a shift of funds, Walker may have to end up somewhere else.

And if he ended up replacing a certain "big mouth" in Philadelphia, I just might have to welcome him at the airport. wink

I agree that Travis Jervey is hot! But part of his injury issue may be attributed to his steroid use.

I saw this guy in my morning paper, and couldn't believe he's a high school football player! 17-years old! It's an article about high school athletes training year-round to remain competitive.

I hope no one thinks it inappropriate for me to post it here since he's only 17: just think of it as a healthy reminder to get to the gym if you want arms that look like that!

are you sure that 17 year old hasn't used steroids to get that big at such an age?

As for training year-round, at my school, most of the teams have various training sessions throughout the year. For example, the soccer team had weight-lifting Tuesdays and Fridays, as did the football team. I also know that the softball team has many mandatory training sessions throughout their offseason. It doesn't seem like a huge deal to me- I didn't mind going two days a week. But I wouldn't like having practices every day like we do during the season.
