doesn't get his props...for his ability and for his hotness.
I'd agree with that in general but have to exempt myself. Always thought he was one of the hottest and better QB's in the league. And the guy's been through hell by QB standards. My favorite story about him is the one that he and coach Vermeil "cry" together regularly, sort of like father and son. Crying is no big deal for Vermeil
who is known to shed a tear at the sight of a microphone regardless of the occassion. But there is something really hot about a guy like Green having the confidence, depth and joie de vivre to wear his emotions on his sleeve.
As alluded to in the article Vermeil has a long history and lineage of emotional relationships throughout the NFL. And though some want "grandpa" to resign I think he's as critical to the pro-game as PennState's PA-terno is to the college game (and yes even I have called for his resignation on past occasions, and am glad to say I was wrong - at least for one year).
Vermeil's legacy of emotional involvement looks to be carried on with players like
the incredibly hulky and hunky Boomer Grigsby who is currently writing the
Rookie Diary for the Chiefs website. Though fitness is big with all players - especially linebackers who tend to be relatively shorter overachievers who find it difficult to fit anywhere else in the game - Grigsby has a down-home emotional attachment to the game that must bring Vermeil to even more tears.
Oh, and since this is Hot Jock Talk, edit to insert another picture of the stud from his diary:
