2010 Sony Ericsson Open TV Schedule

How ridiculous is it that television coverage for this tournament begins 4 days after the actual start of the tournament?

If I remember correctly, there was a similar situation with the Indian Wells tournament just last week.

Furthermore, I remember having to wait until several days after the tournament to actually see it over the last few years.

Based on my local TV guide information, the Nadal vs. Tsonga match will not be televised.

How can a big match like that not be televised?

No one's responded, but for some reason Fox Sports decided to bid for the rights to the IW & Miami double a few years ago, and then having won them, decided that actually airing them isn't that important. Apparently they relegate them to lower-tier affiliates that aren't even available or showing the tennis in all markets; I've got MSG+ which has been picking up matches, but the bare minimum really. And I had to find a live feed featuring the biggest match of the tournament to date, Clijsters v Henin, which took a backseat to the hockey and was tape delayed until midnight.

To make matters worse, motormouth Gimelstob is in the commentary booth for them. At least having Davenport there too is a bonus, especially now that she seems less interested in settling old scores against her one-time rivals, and has also got the hang of the whole gig.

Anyhow, the Tennis Channel did manage to wrest away Indian Wells and some of the Miami coverage. And once the clay events roll around, they'll be the only sheriffs in town again, with ESPN not showing up until Wimbledon.

Just watched Roddick take out Nadal. Andy appeared to have gotten back some of his mojo and played very aggressively while Nadal sometimes appeared a bit lost.
