Gotta give my boy Antoine Vermette some props here. He's not very well known and there aren't too many pics of him, but I've seen him in person and he's hot as hell. Gotta love French Canadian hockey jocks...

I like Vermette and all, but come on! Look at the face & bod of Blanton! Picture him running, diving and digging balls on the beach. All hot & sweaty. The sweat glistening off his bod in the summer sun.
Then he takes a break from the game, wipes his bod, and quenches his thirst with a nice cool tall iced beverage. Woof.

Looks like we got some really tight races going on. I think Zito has finally met his match. He usually cruises his way to the elite eight and final four but he has his work cut out for him this year.

MDB: Maybe this was explained elsewhere, but how did you determine the matchups? I'm thinking, for example, that Jeff Gordon shouldn't have to go up as a 16 seed against Andy Roddick while relative unknowns like Dain Blanton and Antoine Vermette are matched up.

JIP, I pretty much had a huge spreadsheet, filled in the top 4 seeds witht he usual names and then sorted everyone out by their sport, the "feel of the board" and my own personal thoughts. Jeff Gordon was actually a little higher, but I found other NASCAR drivers who seemed to be "hotter" so Jeff's ranking fell. Dain & Antoine just happened to fall into two unknowns facing each other. But then, sometimes that's a good thing rather than seeing the same old names/faces!

Day 2 of voting has arrived.

Looks like Sanderson is trying to make a last minute charge against Owen.

The tightest match-up is between the two unknowns: Vermette and Blanton with 2 votes separating them.
