Check out
Today's Jock Talk - pretty funny!

So Jim Edmonds says he's "more" into the ladies. More? Are we talking 90/10, or just 51/49? Still, he didn't sound sufficiently definitive as to foreclose all hope. wink

Whoa!
Do we have an "inside man" at Playboy?!?
(Wait..."inside man...that sounds wrong...)
Crazy to me that Playboy is aware of Outsports. Very, very cool, too, though.

What is this "more into" ladies...?
Piazza never said, "I'm 'more into' straight women."
Oh, all...right... wink

Yeah, who was the Playboy interviewer that could quote verbatim from the something on Outsports from last year?

The other part of the Jock Talk on Jason Giambi was interesting as well. The mindset of these ballplayers.
The Phila. Daily News is doing some Phillies profiles this week in their features section (I won't even mention the embarrassing article on Monday from some woman writer who was in Florida for a week and mainly seemed to be obsessed with Pat Burrell and others being "hotties")--this is the last line from the Kevin Millwood profile--talking about his two young sons:
QUOTE
Future baseball players? Maybe. Maybe not. The future is open, \"as long as they're not cheerleaders.\"

One of the contestants on season 3 of
The Amazing Race was a male cheerleader. He was totally gay but he claimed on a few occasions that almost all the male cheerleaders you see in college were straight.
For whatever that's worth......
And did that female writer mention how hot Thome was?

I had a buddy in high school who was a total jock, played pretty much every sport, total ladies man, etc. He made cheerleader at Ole Miss (he figured it was a good way to meet girls) but quit because it was so strenuous. He said it was really, really tough.

No--this is all it says:
QUOTE
Meanwhile, my time is running short and I still haven't interviewed Jim Thome, a guy I've secretly taken to calling the $85 million man. Every time I look at him, I'm sure my eyes have dollar signs in them. What does one man do with all that money?
I try not to get envious. I fail miserably.

I also was happy that the Playboy article referred to outsports.com as "the gay sports website." Not "a". "The".
As it should be.

Yes, that is quite an acknowledgement, as well as a compliment to this site.
I guess that people from all walks of worklife are perusing the site (as it comes up frequently in Web searches), and looking at all the features...even the Board, although they don't join and comment ( eek! ) with their congratulations and best wishes, welcoming us into the world of sports worship (

).

Back to Edmonds...interesting comment. "More into" as opposed to just "into"....
So what about Albert Pujols??? What's he into or more into (oh, I know, he's married and all, but once can hope, can't one)?
with regards to the "more into vs only into" comment.
Guys! Stop reading so much into his off the cuff comment. I'm sure if he's into dudes (at all!!) those of us lucky enough will find out.
In the meantime..... it don't matter if he's bisexual or octosexual. I aint dating him any time soon. and neither are you.

Yes, you're right ung. I've heard guys--straight ones--say, "I'm more into women, etc." And they mean it, until they get enough beers or vodka shots or tequila in them, in which case--

While I certainly believe that Outsports is "the" not "a" gay sports website, it's possible the author mistakenly assumed that Outsports was the only gay sports website out there... when in fact there are many.

Cheerleading is a lot more acrobatic than it used to be, especially at the college level ... complete with injuries from stunts done wrong. Which came first (the acrobatics or the presence of men) is a chicken-or-egg question, but the two factors reinforce each other. Anyway, it's not just 2-4-6-8 anymore.

Holy smokes, with all the chatter about what he exactly meant in the interview why don't I just wake him in the morning and I'll let you know.

See, I KNEW at least ONE of us had "more of" an inside track (as opposed to an "outside" track).
Gotta keep the love flowin'...
