Wow! This is the first time I've caused a "semi-ruckus" on the boards.
I guess I'll get into the semantics of it but eurotrash is not a homophobic term as suggested in your response: "homophobia-possessed Americans." Yes I will admit that the connotation is negative in American origin (or at least a derivative of something stylistically negative) but my friends and me always looked at it more positively and based on style and not on any socio-economic standards. If some one was said to be eurotrash, it was sort of a glimpse into the future to see what Americans would be wearing in 5 years. So ultimately, it also puts "gay" in a positive light too as being more fashion forward.
