Chad Johnson is so sexy I couldn't bear to watch this entire video. He makes me want to pack my bags and head down to Miami just to get a glimpes of him practicing, or whatever.

But I was of the opinion that he is not the sort of guy who would dis a coach long before the vid.

I'd like to nominate  Peja Stojakovic. I love his hairy chest and creamy skin. I'd also like to add my support for  Koji Murofushi. Truly one of he most beautiful men I've seen.
Yes, yes, Peja. I've seen too much of him lately. He is still pretty, and that butt. Wow.
lapswimmer45
I vote for Peja too! Love that hairy chest. We never get to see enough of 'em.

Have you been smoking bong water? Peja is hot. His lips are so nice. His butt is tight and round, and his skin color is like Breyer's cookies and cream. Not to forget about his dark hair.

Well I guess that I am gonna have to pay a little more attention to Peja...but it sounds like you have just described Mike Bibby to me...well except for the skin thing.

Hockeyjock, thanks for nominating hockey players.
They were under represented in last year's tournament.

As I glance over a spreadsheet that I'm keeping, the list is being dominated by football players. The most amount of athletes from one sport will be capped at 16.

Mariner Duck Guy:

I was wondering (and I know this takes a lot of time) if that we could have a sport by sport voting prior to the 64- i.e. where they would be like the play-in tournaments for some of the guys that have been in the competition before and so the tournament would include all the different sports...

Hmmm....let me think about that idea!

Let's not make it too complicated or water it down. You don't want it to be like the NHL used to be when just about everybody made the playoffs. wink

MDG - you mention that your spreadsheet is dominated by football players. Perhaps if you indicate how many nominees of each sport you have, those sports that are underrepresented could get some more nominees?
kick
hehehe- I would love to play with that spreadsheet anyday, MDB- it would be a whacky goof time wink (referring to the guys ON the spreadsheet- I know you are taken, that lucky guy!! wink )
John King
Can I nominate Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs , since you mentioned the football players? And of course, Jason Taylor. He started me liking the Dolphins.
True War Eagle
Kody Bliss, Auburn punter!

Brandon Cox, Auburn QB and the perfect name.

Football:
Steve Smith
Chad Johnson
Chris Leak - UF
Rodney Harrison
AJ Nicholson - FSU

Basketball:
Dwyane Wade
Raja Bell
Allen Iverson
Carmelo Anthony
Stephon Marbury

I know it's been a while since I've posted and that's mainly because life has been pretty for me with the hurricane season, work, and grad school i haven't has time for anything or anyone. These are my nominations. I had MANY others that I wanted to nominate, but I know that all of them wouldn't get on the ballot, especially when half the ballot is ALREADY filled (I don't exactly see how that is fair, but I digress). I think we should make it a point to not jus have the same batch of guys from year to year. There are SO MANY other guys in sports that if we just pointed them out, they could and would win hands down. Can I get some variety in the people that are nominated. It's like ice cream, no one wants to eat only vanilla, sometimes we want chocolate, or strawberry, or butter pecan, or cookie dough. I think you get my point. Hey sportinlife, long time no talk to!! Sorry it's been so long since I've been on here. I saw Chad Johnson and Edgerrin James at our local MLK parade on last Monday. Of course he was the "center of my attention". He was good enough to give me an autograph and DAMN was he sexy as hell!!

How about some tennis players. My picks, Nicolas Kiefer and Robby Ginepri.
BILLYSIMS79
Go ahead - make my KOTH choices harder (ahem..) this year by adding these FINE 9!!!

Alex Smith - Young Gun
Brady Quinn - Young Gun the sequel
Justin Bride - Rodeo (trust me...)
Steve Finley - Cheekbones for days...
Kasey Kahne - Nascar
Robby Ginepri - Gunboats God
Rafael Nadal - Gunboats, Part Deux
Reggie Bush - Total Package
Dwayne Wade - Glad I live in South Florida

Yeh, that oughta work...

You mean Justin McBride don't you? And it's between him & Ty Murray for the bull riding representative. Unless someone else can nominate another one!

Something called New Woman magazine had a poll for the World's Sexiest Man. Brad Pitt was #1, but there are a few atheletes, too, such as Arsenal star Thierry Henry, Becks, Michael Owen (down at #64... what an outrage!)...

I never thought I would nominate him when he was pitching for UT, but Huston Street is something else now. There is an incredible picture of him in the current Esquire. So, I hereby nominate the AL Rookie of the Year (and a proud Texas Ex), Huston Street.

We are only a couple of weeks away! I plan on releasing the Field of 64 the week of March 5th.

I plan on starting the competition on March 13th.

Each contestant will be limited to a maximum of 5 pictures each. Like last year, I am going to post the pictures using the Yahoo photo feature. I will post the link to each contestant's folder.
If you want to see more pictures, well, then you have to do the research yourself!

As I mentioned earlier, to make it easier on myself, the Elite 8 from last year's tournament will be this year's top seeds.

For the most part, the contestants will be professional athletes unless there is no pro league in a particular sport such as track, swimming or diving. There may be one or two exceptions to this rule.

And because it's an Olympic year, expect to see a good representation of Olympians in the field of 64.

All the big names are in the tourney, so, this is your last shot at nominating someone who you think is under the radar & can cause havoc in the tournament. In Year 1, it was Wes Cotton. Year 2/3 it was Lenny Krayzelburg. Who will be the sleeper this year?

Speaking of Lenny, I'm on the fence with him this year. I want to include him since he did so well last year, but I don't know if he's still swimming competitvely. Anyone know? I should google him.

Remember the tentative start date:
Monday, March 13th.

We can, but I want to make the competition fair and if Barry Bonds-Abdul was in the competion he/she'd wipe out the field.

Perhaps we can enter him/her in a Queen of The Hardwood Competition. A Barry Bonds-Abdul vs. Serena Williams could be a very interesting match-up!

But that pairing wouldn't be fair as Barry looked a lot more like Serena Williams than he did Paula Abdul. Or maybe I need to get stronger eyeglasses. wink

I may have missed them, but these are some guys I thought would be nominated by now:

LeBron
Pujols
Varitek
Tony Parker
Matt Hasselbeck
John Lynch
Falconpride
I want to add to the list of nominees, as I didn't get the opportunity last year. These names are always under-represented (especially the ones from Pittsburgh), so I wanted to give people something to think about...

Tommy Maddox-Former QB, Pittsburgh Steelers (Why did they release him? I wanted to watch him get sacked....it was soooo hot!)

Jerome Bettis, RB-Future Hall of Famer (retired)
Antwaan Randle-El, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Steve McNair, QB, Tennessee Titans
Jason Kidd-PG, New Jersey Nets
Tim Thomas-G, Boston Bruins
Dominik Hasek-G, Ottawa Senators
Mario Lemiuex-F-Pittsburgh Penguins (now retired)
Rob Mackowiak, 3B/OF-Formerly of the Pittsburgh Pirates, now of the Chicago White Sox sad.gif

Just my little contribution.... biggrin.gif

Oops...Just saw the part about adding Olympians. In that case, I have more to add:

Chad Hedrick-Team USA-Speed-Skating

Hermann Meier-Team Austria-Downhill Skiing (plus, he came back from a life-threatening injury--You go, girl!)

Joe Sakic-Captain, Team Canada Hockey/Colorado Avalanche
Jim at Outsports
Joey Cheek

Felix Gottwald

Enrico Fabris, far left

Tobias Angerer

All from the Winter Olympics

I have about 70 guys trying to make the field of 64. Some "shockers" as it stands right now:

This is not official but it looks like:

- Baseball will only be represented by 5 guys. 4 of the names are vets, but one is a rookie.
- Brady Quinn is not in the tournament (he's still a college QB and in football, you don't qualify unless you're pro). Bloom is in for Skiing.

Some familiar names may miss the cut:
- Urlacher could be out
- Beckham could be out
- Last year's Sweet 16 finalist Lenny Krayzelburg is out of the tournament this year.
- No Blaine Wilson since he's not on Team USA anymore.
- No Bode. He would have been in there had there not been such media overkill on the guy. Joey Cheek will most likely take his place.

Basketball could have 8 guys, up from last year. Hockey could have 4 which is up from last year.

I'm working hard on getting the field finalized by Monday....

Here's your last chance to campaign!
Falconpride
Let's add some more baseball players biggrin.gif :

"The Rocket"-Roger Clemens...lately, I've been having fantasies about him. My honorary gay friend thought he had a "cuddly look".... biggrin.gif

Can't forget about Curt Schilling and Brad Eldred, either....

I love latino men and my personal favorite is Carlos Pena of the Detroit Tigers.

Let me try and bring the field of hockey jocks up to five with Jamie Lundmark of the Phoenix Coyotes.

Brett Basenez has to make the cut after this clip. This is an NFL combine, should he should qualify as a post-college plater.

Nominations are closed. Brackets are complete.

I will post the brackets later today.

The top seeds were based on last year's Sweet 16.
The remainder of the seeds were completed by the feel of the board and my personal feelings.

Are we ready? Stay tuned smile.gif

Chad Hedrick and Shani Davis in the same region... MDB, you're evil. biggrin.gif

And where's Joey Cheek? I guess nice guys do finish last. tongue.gif

My man: Michael Owen. But such a tough group? Pujols, Szczerbiak, Tom Brady...

I'll take Alex Yoong as my dark horse.

Sadly miss seeing Derek Andersen or Juan Dixon or Grant Hill from the NBA selections.

Hey MDG I'm all for entries for non-traditional sports, but Pro Rasslin'? That's like Poker on ESPN or Air Force in the NCAA tourney. Travesty I tells ye!!!

But if you insist on adding Rasslin' I think Herr Tiggee would have been a better choice:

QUOTE
By Tiggee in another thread....

My official rasslin' name is the Rainbow Tiger. I will be wearing a smart, skin hugging body suit, complete with batman-esque breast plates and nipples the size of grapefruit. My leotard will be bright orange, with navy tiger stripes.

I will also be wearing a mask, which covers only my eyes and nose, and will feature several catlike whiskers. And my hair will be teased out to epic proportions, and will be described by the media as \"a cross between Pantera, those femme-bots from the band called Europe, White Snake, and the hair one would associate with members of the musical Cats.\"
Just sayin' biggrin.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Marat Safin is ripe for an upset with his horrendous new hair don't

I see some upsets by number 11 seeds taking out number 4 seeds. Nice work, mdb.

Glad you asked, Jim.

Starting with the East Region tomorrow, a poll feature will be set up in the Hot Jocks section with the East Regional match-ups. You will vote for one person in each match-up. The polls will run for two days. So, the East Regional poll begins tomorrow morning and will end at 11:59pm on Wednesday 3/15.

The next region will start on Thursday 3/16 and end at 11:59pm on Friday 3/17.

After this first week, we will get on the regular schedule of polls starting on Monday's & Wednesday's. The reason being that traffic normally drops on Friday - Sunday.

You can do a search for the 2005 KOTH tournament to see examples.

Good Luck.

And let's have some fun. Smack talking is encouraged.

I think Despatie is getting hotter as he gets older. Brodie Holland has no problem shedding his clothes ala Despatie.

And there are still no shirtless pictures of Joey Harrington frown

Yes. Each round will be a separate thread. I had to explain this to the mods three years ago when I first started this competition. You can only set up one poll per thread.

Any final four predictions?
