Thanks Sportinlife for one of the best sites I've seen in a while...this should keep me busy (and horny) until September! My, how I'd love to be in the middle of those two hunks.

Yet another unlikely competitive sport: Who would of thought there's a Sports Aerobics World Champion. Not complaining as long as it produces guys who look like Switzerland's Nik Beyeler. Got to give props to a "Beautiful Man" who doesn't body-shave.

I agree with you Sportinlife Nick is way hot. But he's not French, he's from Switzerland. Here's his website.
TommyC84
I've always had the hot's for the oh so hetero wink.gif Mike Piazza. Got to love this oh so gay innuendo quote that was attributed to Mikey at askmen.com.

Thanks Tommy. Fixed that. Love the t-shirt about "commitment". could be read lots of ways. I'm sort of selfishly glad he doesn't seem to have made a commitment to opposite-sexuality in his bio. Maybe some guy into hot chili is more his liking.

Here's Norwegian team handball star Kristian Kjelling -- they just played in the 2006 Euro Championships.
Another nice pic of him.
These are all part of a promo for a Norwegian tanning salon chain: Brun og Blid.

Here's a very happy Dane -- Michael Knudsen -- they're moving onto the semifinals. Cute Kjelling and the Norwegians are going home.

Thanks for widening my horizons a little more DCBucky. Never knew handball could be such a hot and aggressive sport

Taped fingers and tangled up

Briefs under white shorts on a sexy blonde

Real men smell themselves

Your guy likes filling a sandwich

Somebody is not interested in the ball or the game

Now how did this happen?

And this?

Amazing no one gets choked

Like lacrosse without those annoying sticks. biggrin.gif

I like looking at Kristian Kjelling almost as much as he likes looking at himself. wink I had no idea this sport existed obviously not the same as the American version where they knock a smaller ball against a wall.

It's very entertaining to watch -- and it is full of contact -- I'm never quite sure as to how much is allowed. We get team handball on TV here maybe during the Olympics and that's it. Outside of Europe and Korea, I dunno who follows it. The U.S. usually sends both a men's and women's team, but they don't make it into the medal round.

And just for you sportinlife -- talk about hot and aggressive full contact!? -- that's Jerome Fernandez and Joel Abati from France -- celebrating their Euro 2006 championship.

WOOHOO! Vive la France! Obviously they went to do the cheek-to-cheek kiss and missed. But I bet neither withdrew like the American football fans in the Mad comedy skit. Thumbs up! Those lips on Abati could do wonders.

Looks like they don't mind the occassional three-way either

Since figure skaters are so afraid to appear gay, what about the other skaters?

Don't know if he's a jock but he certainly has the body for some kind of sport.

How does that old song go?

This speedskating thing looks like it could be fun with Joey Cheek

Joey's Cheeks

Hmm, these would make nice earblings

Hope he's not gonna throw-up during the race

Doesn't look good

Oh no, he did!

Not sure why, but Joey Cheek does set off some gaydar bells with me. I hope so though. Very cute guy. Pretty disappointed with my main man casey FitzRandolph though. But I guess that happens when he hasn't skated much in the last 4 years.

A cycling race can be tight in many ways
and build up a lot of pressure, especially if you are racing with
Isle of Man's Mark Cavendish
or Ross Edgar of Scotland

You can ease the pressure by accepting his offer to
kiss him where ever you want to
or by releasing it as does Alejandro Valverde of Illes Balears, Spain, - oh mama it feels so gooood!

So what is gay Aussie rugby player Ian Roberts up to nowadays, other than gracing us with little teases like this?

IPB Image

He should be giving training courses on how to develop a butt like that.

We could all use a bit of stimulation back there.
Finneye
Don't know about Ian, but this reminds me of the Latvian sprinter Stanislavs Olijars.

Stanislavs is certainly in no need of posing lessions, I guess from now on it's gonna be just Nike for me.

Finneye, how do you find this stuff?

Jim biggrin.gif
sportinlife
My guess is that he speaks Finnish, making a lot of things readily available that us non-speakers wouldn't encounter.

Regardless I love the photos, and the company here in HJT, so I hope you stick around a while Finneye.

Love the lose and easy going look of the Finn athletes too.

Like Aki Parviainen's rather unconventional pin-toed starting position for the javelin toss

And pole vaulter Matti Mononen's blue-bladed mohawk is one of the coolest I've seen since David Beckham's

Beats me, Jim! Strangely they just seem to jump at me every time I sit down at my computer

Seriously speaking, as my job involves sitting alone all day in front of the screen, as my No.1 hobby is photography, and as I find the portrayal of a well-trained healthy male body incredibly fascinating, it comes only natural that I also search pics in the net.

When work gets too boring (I am self-employed, so I’m not stealing any time from my boss) I look what’s new in the jock front (pun intended). Most bodybuilders and all porn models are a total turn-off.

Knowing the basics of a couple of languages also helps, because the biggest treasures are often found on pages that are not in English (or Finnish).
One example of today: Russian divers training off-pool.
Bryan
finneye - please continue - we're all benefitting from your self-employment...
i'm with you: bodybuilders and porn stars are a total turnoff but these athletes are spectacular to look at...I love the brazilian redhead a couple posts up...
Jim at Outsports
I often rely on the finds of Finneye and Sportnlife for Picture This, consistently our most popular daily feature. Thanks! smile.gif
Finneye
Sportinlife, thanks for noticing the two Finnish sportsmen. Aki Parviainen has already retired from active javelin throwing, and
Matti Mononen has gotten rid of his mohawk. I think his latest style involves some kind of tiny braids. I promise I’ll post a picture of those as soon as I run into one.

By the way, his picture taken by Kari Kuukka won the title of the Finnish Sports Picture of the Year 2005.

As to the easy-going style of the Finnish athletes, I suppose the Finnish nature's got a lot to do with it. If interested, you might watch a 3 minutes short video portrait of Matti Mononen. (Windows Media file) training shirtless in the Finnish summer night with mosquitoes swarming around him. His own voice in the background is unfortunately in Finnish. It’s quite touching how he tells about his waking interest in polevaulting in the early age of seven, and about how he almost killed himself as a 12-year-old not obeying his coach father’s instructions.

Matti’s website includes naturally a good selection of pictures.
Enter the 5 galleries page by clicking ‘Gallery’.
Finneye
Cheers, Bryan.
Don’t worry, I will continue sharing my findings with all of you other admirers of the athletic physique. It’s a lot more fun knowing that somebody else too is enjoying the sights with me!
In return I get such a lot of more beauty, the grand master sportinlife for instance has made enormous contributions already long before my time as can be seen from the archives (by the way, the gorgeous Brazilian redhead needs to be credited to him, not me!).

But how about this fit Mexican diver from a Catalan sports website?
Bryan
Thanks, Finn...after I just fainted again after reviewing the brazilian redhead, the diver simply made me smile... smile.gif
sportinlife
Thanks for the kind words and the updates on Aki and Matti, especially the vid and photos from Matti's homepage. Good to see one of his Mohawks has been enshrined in his gallery.

Interesting that another nordic group (the Swedes) are famous here in the Delaware Valley (where Philly is located) for being the only early European immigrants never to have one of their settlements massacred by the local native americans. Seems the local Indians and the Swedes shared similar religious mythologies.

One of many anecdotes that suggest some pre-historic relationship between Europeans and early North Americans. Hmm, those stories about Atlantis...makes you wonder.... rolleyes.gif

Some careful genetic spelunking might be in order.

The Indians were Lutherans?!?
sportinlife
QUOTE
The Indians were Lutherans?!?
smile.gif Left myself wide-open for that one I suppose.

Actually I was referring to the pre-Christian Norse paganism that still influenced Swedish mythology and legend during the early settlement of the Delaware Valley in the 17th century.

Perhaps it was stronger then than now. But I found out about the anomaly of the relatively peaceable encounters of the Swedes with local natives when I stumbled upon the American Swedish Historical Museum during a bike ride several years ago (pre-knee problems).

Apparently some of the goodwill had a lasting effect since the relationship is still celebrated:

QUOTE
The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape enjoy friendly relations with the nation of Sweden, which acknowledges its tribal identity and sovereignty, recently celebrating its more than 350 year old treaty of friendship with the Tribe, extending back to the days of the early settlement of the Swedes and Finns in the Land of the Lenape, before Dutch and British colonial powers settled in the area. This intergenerational friendship has continued with the descendants of the early Swedish settlers who still live in the Lenape homeland.
Edit to add: also stumbled on a site that claims that the local town of Chester Pennsylvania was the first Finnish settlement in the Americas.

The things you learn when you're just surfing around...

Thanks for the research, sportinlife. History's sooo interesting!
My grandfather also saided to America in the early years of the 20th century to work in the Great Lakes area on both sides of the Canadian border. Later he decided to return to the family farm in Eastern Finland (Carelia) to marry my grandmother. His home and that part of Carelia was then overtaken by Russia during World War II and all of the the population moved to remaining Finland.
