So today there's a story that the software program used to determine that Casey Anthony searched for chloroform 84 times was actually wrong and in the middle of the trial the software designer let the prosecutor know that his program was wrong and that she only searched once. A process to validate the original findings was available to them and they didn't use it.
Not only did they begin with faulty information that they knew, or should have known, was false. The Prosecution didn't correct the false information once they were informed it was wrong. Instead, they used the phrase "searched 84 times for chloroform" over and over. Remember their assertion was that Casey used chloroform to put her daughter to sleep so she could party? I wonder if one visit to an article would be enough for Casey to learn how to do that? This new view of her internet searches sure casts that theory in a new light.
I wonder if all the people who are out there saying it was a bad jury that let her off would now reconsider that position given the Prosecutions lies. Remember the prosecution also said over and over that when a person lies a jury can then believe that everything that person says is a lie.
Not only should the prosecutors be sanctioned, fined and maybe even jailed for this, but the use of technology to show "fact" should be examined given that we know how many times errors have later been discovered. Remember, this was a capital murder charge. With a couple more lies by the prosecution Casey could have been found guilty and executed.
