Full Version: Manscaping!

Anyone have any first hand knowledge of athletes manscaping??

I was chatting with some friends and we were discussing how many pro boys trim or shave off their pubes?

And I wonder if they get teased about it?

ALSO...for those who go natural...and have big ol bushes!

I don't care much about their cock sizes...I just want to know about the pubes!

Pictures would be great too...

and I suppose we could hear about some college althletes too!
Thanks boys and girls!

I never heard this term before. As a hairy man lover, I object on principle to manscaping! End the practice now and let your hair grow, men and boys!

The term "manscaping" is more than just pubes, it encompasses all body hair: chest, arms, legs, back etc. I dont know about pro athletes pubes being trimmed or shaved but I know, aside from the obvious swimmers, cyclists and bodybuilders, some do for purely asthetic reasons.

One case is Mark McGwire. Look at picts of him in his early baseball days. He's got furry blonde arms and in some you can see some chest hairs. Then compare to his final years when he bulked up (now) and he has no arm hair or chest hair. Sad really, just leave well enough alone boys!

I don't have a link to any pics of it (though I'm sure you could find them on the web), but NFL hottie Tim Dwight used to shave his entire body and wasn't shy about it.

I guess you don't watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, then.

As a connoisseur of male body hair I have to err on the side of MP. If there is hair there, best to leave it. I have never kicked a smoothy out of bed, and am not prejudiced against them in general, but nice pubes properly distributed are a man's best friend - whether on the groin, pit, head or wherever.

Now in the ears could be a bit annoying for the wearer. I'll forgive removal of any annoying growth there or elsewhere. Not that anyone asks.

trimmage = bad
fur = good

I want to get all the little hairs in my ears zapped away

it's just gross

now for the rest of my body, I like what little hair I have

I use to think all I wanted was a smooth man, but I quickly discovered the sexiness of a man with well groomed body hair. It's especially nice if they have the dark hair with the olive complexion.

Unfortunately, I don't have much chest hair. I hate what I do have. It's a patch in the middle. I trim it way back.

My partner has the most incredible hair pattern up his abs (and he, not me, has them) and all across his chest. He shaves it all off because it's mostly gray and it makes him feel old.

I try to convince him to leave it. What do you think about gray hair?

Hey anybody like to look at other guys in the changing room?

Love it! My partner has it all over his chest, belly, back and legs...! What a hottie!

I use to be embarrassed of my back hair and would have it shaved off or waxed but then I met my partner and he loves furry men so I have not shaved my back hair since.

I have had chest hair since I was in the 7th grade. I was so ashamed of having hair under my arms and on my chest. Especially during PE classes when we had to change in front of each other. I really got a lot of stares.

I do trim my chest and stomach with a "flowbee" since the hair just keeps growing longer and longer and gets in the way. I trim it down to about 1 inch on my chest. That is a comfortable length for me. Is that "manscaping"?

I had a friend in the 10 grade that felt my pain of being so furry. He had the most hairy ass I have ever seen in my life. I actually would stare at him in the PE locker room. biggrin.gif

In my case, any hair from the nose to the toes has to go (okay, I don't have much from the nose to the toes, but what little I got goes down the drain -- I don't shave my legs, I keep that hair trimmed very close). The less body hair I see on athletes, the better I like them. smile.gif

I think gray hair looks elegant, almost regal some times. Especially on a dark-skinned guy.

Weird thing is, it always seems to look better on someone else. wink

Try being the LAST kid to hit puberty, its gotta be worse= I know! sad.gif - I wished I had chest hair in the 7th grade!
Also- your chest hair gets in the way of WHAT? I love how the guys who shave always give excuses - Its neater, its more sanitary, its smoother... if you shower every day whats the big deal if you are hairy. Just say you like the smooth boyish look. biggrin.gif

Obviously no one seems to know all this information you want to know about athlete's pubic bushes & stuff. Where do you expect all this hot information to come from?

It varies from guy to guy. Some guys look ultra sexy with a lot of body hair, others do not. I DO like the smooth look of male volleyball players on ESPN(Yummy), tennis pros and swimmers. And yet a hairy Pierce Brosnan, Tom Selleck, and numerous hairy soap stars make me salivate. HOWEVER, guys as hairy as Robin Williams or the cave man from the Geico commercials (guys with back and shoulder hair) are hideous. PLEASE, WAX!!!!

However, getting back to "manscaping," I think that guys who totally shave their pubes look anything but sexy. Trimming is ok, but total removal isn't attractive. Looks peculiar.

I can honestly say that some smooth men are hot, I mean I'm not looking at how hairy they are or aren't, but there's nothing like a hairy man.

Even back hair can be sexy...sometimes.

I'm hairy (chest, belly, forearms, nuckles, abit on the top of my hands and "the other places") and like my men like me, hairy...peludos smile.gif

Ha! Funny you should ask. I find that once my chest hair starts to poke out around the buttons of my shirt or it looks like a ferret is trying to crawl out of the neck of my shirt it is time to do a little "manscaping" and get the "grass" mowed down to about one inch. I can manage one inch but anything shorter than that tends to poke my partner in the eye when he is rolling around in the "grass". biggrin.gif

I dropped in on this thread because the word "manscaping" caught my eye. I had never heard of it, and thought it might have to do with admiring men who mow lawns and trim trees and bushes without their shirts on. ;-)

I'll try to bring the thread back to athletes... namely, the wrestlers seen on Real Pro Wrestling which is a showcase for amateur wrestlers to compete in real wrestling (NOT WWE-style) for prize money. All but the heavyweights compete in trunks, no shirts.

It's been a revelation for me as an amateur wrestling fan to see that some of the competitors who were hairy-chested in college (visible over their singlets, or when they dropped straps) suddenly seem to have lost it all for Real Pro Wrestling. Or perhaps done some trimming.

One guy who may have done this is Garrett Lowney, who you might know from the Olympics -- he competed in 2000 and 2004, winning a bronze medal in Sydney for the US. At the 2000 Olympics, he wore the more revealing older-style singlet, revealing a chest with rather thick blondish-brown hair for a 19-year-old. Now, in Real Pro Wrestling, his chest hair was not as visible, looking like it had been trimmed/mowed.

Another guy is Wes Hand who wrestled for the Iowa Hawkeyes as heavyweight. During most of his college mat career, he had thick, dark hair all over his chest. However, when he faced Brock Lesnar in the 2000 NCAA heavyweight finals, none of that was visible over his singlet as it had been only weeks before. He looked like a plucked chicken!
