Last chance to suggest an not well known man into the tournament. I think I have a good representation from a variety of sports. I should be able to release the field of 64 on Sunday.

Tommy definitely deserves to be in this. As does Landon Donovan, but he's already been mentioned.

Um... hockey is TOTALLY under-represented here... although that's totally understandable given the sad state of affairs in the NHL. That being said, I submit the following pro hockey studs who really ought to get consideration:

Vincent Lecavalier, Tampa Bay Lightning
Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche
Jamie Lundmark, NY Rangers
Drake Berehowsky, Toronto Maple Leafs
Andrew Ference, Calgary Flames
Antoine Vermette, Ottawa Senators
Wade Redden, Ottawa Senators
sportinlife
Decathlete Dan o'Brien has a fascinating life story as well as an unusually well-toned physique that doesn't seem to have diminished as he approaches forty.

I saw him on an extended commercial last year advertising fitness equipment and it is surprising how well he has maintained himself.

I think it is unfortunate that most photos don't show his smile, which I find all the more sexy for its imperfection.

And apparently he is still available. wink

Is the NHL still around? Wow, I had no idea.

You offer a very good list (any list with Joe Sakic [swoon] is a good list) but I'd add my LA KIng Alex Frolov.

Who will rule the board this year? We will find out starting Tuesday. Watch for the thread!

Edited to add: Due to "personal reasons" Jimmie Johnson will not be in the tournament. Instead, he has been replaced by fellow race car drive Jamie McMurray. Seeds 10-16 have been rearranged. to make room for the 2003 rookie of the year.

So how does this happen? Who gets to vote? Who gets to sleep with the judges? Who samples the Final Four?

I want da scoop, baby!!

NO. ANDY. GRANT.
Gaga4Gaby
I'm so proud of Javy for obtaining the No. 1 seed!! biggrin.gif

And my boy Marat at No. 4 in his division!!

I'm glad they don't have to compete against one another early.

Andy was one of the bubble (butt) men and just didn't make the cut. He was there at one point, but I think I added Adam (Kayaker) and Bode (skier). A bubble guy who I should have left in was Pro Bull Rider Justin McBride. Dave Mirra took his place. Another bubble guy was Curler Scott Pfeiffer but I just couldn't find many pictures of him.

How it works: Starting Tuesday with the East region, I'm going to create a poll with the match-ups. The poll will be open for two days and the person receiving the most votes in each match-up moves on. On Thursday, it will be another region (probably the Mid-west), then again on Monday & Wednesday of next week for the final two regions. If you check the link to the brackets, it lists the date when each match-up will be posted.

They Andy knock out of the running? I know two people I am not voting for, then.

Maybe I should have included a picture....

Mariner Duck Guy
But Illini, your beloved Drew Brees is there.
Personally, I'm hoping for a Brees/Harrinton smackdown in round 2!

By the way, if you click on each of the individual names, it will bring up a folder containing photos of the jocks.

Thanks for including some volleyball players. Love it!
bobby78751
So, will the next prelims be this weekend? We have seen how Outsports traffic drops dramatically on weekends, so I'm wondering if the next prelim won't be until Monday. I'll be checking in, anyway. smile.gif
Mariner Duck Guy
Bobby, I took into account the drop on weekeds so I have one region ( I think it's the Southeast) scheduled to go on Monday-Tuesday and the West region will be Wednesday-Thursday.

I'm trying to stick to a Monday/Wednesday start date.

I've decided to protest this alleged tournament due to the omission of Nicolas Kiefer. The hottest thing to ever hold a racket.

You include Juan Carlos Ferrero:
http://www.atptennis.com/en/players/player...rsearch=ferrero

and not the the Colin Ferrel of tennis:

As McEnroe would say "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!"
Mariner Duck Guy
Well, there's always next year. You better start posting more pics of him in the hot tennis players thread! tongue.gif
Gaga4Gaby
The real tragedy is the omission of all the hot bowlers I campaigned for.

Well, if I included Shannon (or any others from the PBA), I didn't think it would have been a fair competition because they would have easily walked away with the KOTH crown.

You are wise and just, MDB. The rest of the field has nothing on Shannon. Eat your heart out, Javy Lopez!

You've gotta promise me that Andy Grant will get in next year. He got shafted this year. I think there should be a play in game just like in March Madness. smile.gif

hi guys,

regarding some asian athletes mentioned here:

Koji Murofushi -- darn, is he hot. he's half-japanese, half-romanian. his father is a multiple asian and japanese champion in the hammer thrower and olympic finalist (6th in 1972, i believe). his mother is a former romanian junior javelin thrower champion, but apparently the parents divorced a long time ago.

same with Kariya and Bryan Clay, both are half-japanese (Kariya being half-white and Clay, half-black). Apolo Anton Ohno is also half-japanese.

Dat Nguyen -- please note correct spelling. he still plays with the Dallas Cowboys.

other asian hotties: Paradorn Srichaphan (tennis), Nobuharu Asahara (athletics) and Baichung Bhutia (soccer player, from India). do a google search and you'll see what i mean.
