How about this ... Or this?

Good nominations! I already had Landon entered as a carry over from the 2003 competition.
And as hot as they are, there are still no pro bowlers in the field...I know, it's shocking.

Get ready ... here's the best pro bowling has to offer, as far as my research shows:
(Drum roll, please)
Joe Bailey, Doylestown, Ohio, shot 279 in his final game Wednesday to become the first amateur ever to lead the PBA Tour Qualifying Round in the PBA Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Open at AMF Riviera Lanes.

Not horrible, but I'm not sure he makes the cut with the likes of Dragalescu and Safin ...

Do you shoot 279 or do you roll/bowl a 279? Never heard the term "shot" used with bowling before. Those bowlers are such rebels.
Well, Jow Bailey is on the list....way way way way down on the list as maybe the 62nd alternate to make the tourney. Then again, if he does make the field of 64, he could be THE Cinderella Story of the year!

Looks like we are going to have a strong field of 64 this year!
Baseball, Football, Basketball and Tennis are limited to Eight Men each so that leaves 32 spots open for the various other sports. My initial list has 71 guys so I have som trimming to do in Football, Tennis and the Others categories.
Keep nominating guys because I may have missed a jock.
So far, we have representation from Football, Basketball, Tennis, Baseball, Diving, Gymnastics, Swimming, Rugby, Wrestling, Soccer, BMX, Track & Field, Skiing, Surfing, Golf, Hockey, and Auto Racing. And as much as Gaga4Gaby has campaigned, no Bowlers have not made the cut.
Let's see, we still could use representation from Cycling, more Hockey and maybe Volleyball.
Keep those names coming!

If you can find a hot bowler worthy of the title King of The Hard Wood, they can be on the list.

"He who shall not be named" is currently on the bubble. Should he be inlcuded in the tournament or shall he not be named in the tournament?
I was going to use the Elite 8 from the basball survivor thread but scrapped that and now only the Final Four are guaranteed locks for the tournament. So, shall GK be included or not? He was in the 2003 tournament but I don't think he got past the first round.

Please do NOT include "he who shall not be named." He's a washup, as evidenced by the fact that he's playing in the Japanese league this year.
Might I suggest the Utah Jazz's Raoul Lopez or Raja Bell, golf's Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia or Padraig Harrington, Canadian curlers Carter Rycroft or Scott Pfeiffer, or Canadian kayaker Adam van Koeverden.

Well, the NHL is out of business, so...
On the ESPN site I made a couple of choices based on the pics they had there, not so much for prior familiarity. I voted for Dain Blanton (currently 6th place out of 6), Juan Carlos Ferrero (4th), the Sixers' Kyle Korver (4th, but at least this group is competitive, plus I had to go for the home team) and Barry Zito (2nd, but has to overcome the Roddick juggernaut).

Padraig? Bubble
There you go again, Canmark, pushing those Canucks wink
I haven't seen the curlers so I'll do some research. We need at least one. But, if I put a curler in, I might have to be fair and put a bowler in and make Gaga happy for life.
There was also a Canadian rower, maybe it was the Adam van Koeverden taht you mentioned, who I saw in the Olympics that was hot. I must also do research on him.
Looks like there are four remaining slots open in the field of 64. The South region looks to be really tight and I guess I can leak that Andy Roddick is the #1 seed in the South. But it's not going to be easy for him.
