I have looked all over the web including google images for shirtless Billy Bean pictuers. I can't find any. Can anyone help me? Thanx!

Check back issues of the Advocate. Bean was a coverboy for the magazine and the article featured a beefcake photo of him.

The photo album at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thebillybeansportsclub contains almost every pic of Billy Bean ever published. There's only one shirtless, from the Advocate.

Hotchie Motchie! The July issue of the gay Aussie photo mag Blue features an interview of Bean and several gorgeous pics of him. Bronzed, shaggy-haired, and with stubble, Bean shows the world everything but. Beautiful pictures of a beautiful man.

I'll try to get to a scanner this weekend and send in the pics to Outsports (some are too large to post in this thread).

That sounds so unlike the impression I have of Billy Bean as a non-stereotypical type of guy. Does this mean he's given up on the idea of getting back into baseball in some capacity?

Both the pics (by Lewis Payton) and the accompanying article in Blue are great.

Although I can't offer any Web links to shirtless photos, the back issue of The Advocate that Adam referred to was June 24/03, and contains some gorgeous photos of Billy Bean. Definitely a keeper.

Also, there is a small shirtless photo of Billy in his excellent book Going the Other Way. It shows him and his (female) fiancée lying on a beach in 1987, with his legs wide open.

I thought he was involved in an executive capacity with some Major League club.

That's Billy Beane, Oakland's GM, not Billy Bean, openly gay former major leaguer.

I purchased the magazine in question while I was in L.A. last week. It's kind of weird to see him with the longer hair. And the nudity (even though it's not full-frontal and only a side view of his rear). wink
