you guys check out the segment on Bodie Miller on 60 Minutes? showed him doing squats with just shorts and it was pretty hot great ass and you could really see it good too!!
seems like a very interesting guy
hockeyTom
Yes airforce. I was fascinated by this interview. I was left thinking, " wow. What makes this guy tick??" Then as the interview went on, things became clearer, especially as it relates to his very spartan upbringing to say the least in rural New Hampshire. And his former hippie parents who still it sounds like pretty much live off of the land up there. I really liked his attitude as it relates to if wanting money is your only goal........that was really cool, in my eyes. His talent is obvious. But I really question when he parties, and is up drinking all night with friends. He is hot, talented, and truly a fascinating athelete in my opinion, but he is playing with matches in so far as skiing "wasted", and is an accident waiting to happen. But I will be rooting for him in Italy! Go Bodie!

He is not real popular here in Denver.
The Media did not take his comment about skiing while still drunk to be a very good comment.
In recent years the ski industry has been really pushing the Skiing Under the Influnce message as being very dangerous and now you have an Olympic Athlete proclaiming that he might do it again!
I am going to have to admit that I hope Bodie Looses in Torino!
Sorry guys! He is cute and all...I would even vernture to say Hot! But I cannot chear for someone that promotes bad behaviors!
laxmanmd
Don't see the big deal about the drinking.
ColoradoSprtsnut
Skiing while drinking is just as bad as driving drunk!
You could very easily crash injuring other people on the slope.
It is just as irresponsible as boating, driving, flying etc
PAdallascowboy
I saw it and he is hot. Hes my new TV boyfriend.

I used to live in COlorado. Skiing while drunk is very, very, very, very dangerous. I'm glad the denver media didn't let him off the hook. It's a serious problem on the slopes, and it affects other people other than the drunk skiier.
azairforce
I agree it is very dangerous but I love his attitude too. Very refreshing to see someone say the money is not that important and he just goes out to have fun.

I will be cheering for him big time for the GOLD.

I have been in lust with Bode for years now, but I even had a problem with him saying that about skiing drunk. I still will root for him and hope he gets some help with the alcohol issue.

he has a cool websie at joinbode.com about his life.

I think this falls under the don't believe everything that you read category. There are quite a few athletes out there in the world that will say anything to entertain themselves, especially knowing that regardless of what they say, it will be believed. Any attention is good attention in this world, and if people believe Ron Artest and Bode Miller at every stop and corner, then the chain will never be broken, and outrage will always insue.

From what I read in an article yesterday, I guess many sponsors are not very happy with Bode stemming from the "60 Minute" story last Sunday, and I understand the US Ski team Coach is uncertain if he will stay on the team now. Will have to stay on top of this story.
hockeyTom
I just scanned a headline off MSNBC. I guess Bode is now in full apology mode to his family friends, donors and sponsors who are upset after the infamous interview.....whether its genuine or not, I don't know. I hope so, but who knows?!
rugbyusa
Yeah, like they will kick off the best skier they have. They know he brings good ratings and has a following amongst the young kids and if he can win gold they will milk that for all the money they can get in publicity. They just don't like that they can't control him. He is not one of the smile, everything is golden puppets the US pushes every olympics.

Go to Joinbode.com and you can hear him talk about life and what he believes in and how he doesn't subscribe to be the best and must win all the time like alot of people push in this county.

The cover story of the current "Newsweek" is dedicated to the Bodie Miller "controversey" -- namely how quaint and naive it is to gossip about an athlete who's *just* buzzing off of alcohol. But for me, the highlight (of the year so far) is a pic of Mickey Mantle, who himself was no mean lover of the bottle, on page 42. Wow. eek!

Bode Miller weighs in on performance-enhancing drug users:

QUOTE
Miller suggested in an interview with Rolling Stone that Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong took performance-enhancing drugs.

\"Right now, if you want to cheat, you can: Barry Bonds and those guys are just knowingly cheating, but there's all sorts of loopholes,\" he told the magazine. \"If you say it has to be 'knowingly,' you do what Lance (Armstrong) and all those guys do, where every morning their doctor gives them a box of pills and they don't ask anything, they just take the pills.\"
