I'm working on a piece about fantasies and sex in the locker room. I'd love anyone and everyone's thoughts on these issues. I'm mostly talking about sports-team locker rooms.

- Do you have fantasies about sex in a locker room?
- What are those fantasies (without being TOO graphic)?
- Is sex ever appropriate in a locker room (sports or gym)?

I'll give an opinion on whether or not sex is appropriate in a locker room.

Under no circumstances is sex appropriate in a locker room. A locker room is not just a place where you change and shower before and after games. It's a place where you can escape from the stresses of the world and just concentrate on one thing...going out there and getting the "W". It's a place where teammates bond, friendships are developed and more importantly a group of players transform into a family. You shouldn't ruin that place by having sex...keep it in your pants and wait till you get home. Show some respect for your fellow teammates...your brothers or sisters if you will.

Is it appropriate , no.
Do I have fantasies, yes sometimes.
Is the locker room erotic, not generally but it can be.
Have things happened, well....

I've had lots of fantasies and that's all they were.There is one guy at my fitness center who greatly resembles Andy Roddick and he is also very well endowed.I have to remind myself not to look at him for any length of time because I know I would start drooling eventually.There is another gentleman who is supposedly married and he always seems to have a great tan line which is a big turn on for me.He's very handsome and quite often uses locker-room talk regarding women.Unfortunately I can't even fake an interest on that particualr subject so I just humor him.Neither of these guys know that I am gay but I thoroughly enjoy looking at them.Yes,I have fantasies but nothing unique and I'm too chicken to ever pursue anything if given the opportunity! frown

It's weird but I've never had a lockerroom fantasy.

But not in the locker room. Not so much.

I guess maybe it's because growing up in the Mid-west the locker room was a place of angst. Preparation, Intimidation, Evaluation, Elation and Deflation.

To me it would sort of be having sexual thoughts about a church or a court room. Just doesn't do it for me.

2. They usually involve people on my team, or some hot opponent (who I noticed after the game, b/c I'm too busy warming up before and then playing to pay attention to how hot the other team is).

4. Definitely not at the high school level. As a matter of fact, I hate the locker room- it always smells bad because of the football players' pads. Plus, some of the annoying jocks hang out in there, so I try to limit my time in there to an absolute minimum.

Strangely enough I never considered the locker room to be erotic when I was triple lettering in HS and College: it was simply a place to 3S&C.

Before hand I was always too busy getting ready for the game, afterward I was way too beat to shit and exhausted to think about it.

I find sports/sex fantasies encouraging and actually positive in that someone is fantasizing about a extremely fit and physically healthy human being. Nature has thus programmed that person to seek out a strong, healthy, partner capable of sharing the difficulties of life.

Someone who would fantasize about some lard ass couch potato playing video games and watching daily repeats of Oprah or Star Trek would worry me much more.

I don't find locker rooms at all erotic. They are usually too warm and smelly and my goal is to shower and change as quickly as possible. That's not to say i don't take note of hunky guys, but any fantasy usually involves having them follow me home.

I hate locker rooms. I do my best to spend as little time as possible in them. They're always full of loud, obnoxious chuckleheads. My partner has an extensive collection of locker room photos. He loves locker room scenes in movies. I have to admit, although I frown on frisky behavior in the locker room or showers, I have become arroused standing at my locker in my briefs or jock, or when I'm showering, I have had a dude reach over and finish the job,,,not proud of it, but it has happened when it was just the two of us. When I was in jr high school, locker rooms and gym class terrified me. I was the smallest, shortest, girliest guy in my class (and probably school), so I always felt out of place in the locker room with all the jocks. Funny thing, lots of the jocks were nice to me in english class or math class or whatever. It helped that I was a good student and also brought food to school. I have very strong associations involving the locker room and sex, although I've never actually had sex in the locker room. Instead, it's what the locker room represents: manliness, athleticism, male bonding, and homoeroticism.

I was never a very strong or athletic guy in high school or college, but I did go to a boarding school (this is in the mid-90s) and some sort of sport was required every semester. I usually played soccer or simply worked out. 2. My fantasies principally involve either pro athletes or team mates that I am attracted to. Also some of the guys on the hockey teams I play against.
3. Obviously if your sexual exploits in a locker room can be observed by someone who isn't part of it then it is inappropriate. If you are in a locker room where the only other person present is your sexual partner and there is NO risk of anyone else being there then I see nothing wrong with it. I'm not talking general changing rooms but in team locker rooms there is opportunity after the team is done and no one else is coming in to use it (either due to schedule or maybe last game of the day); at our rink I can imagine that after hours it is possible to have a situation where this could occur. Makes me want to apply for a job there!!
4. I have played sports throughout my life and currently play ice hockey. Our locker room is co-ed (we have one female on team this year) but I still associate it with the kind of masculine guys that attract me. I play on a straight team and I don't find all the guys attractive but I'm not going to lie and claim that I never check out the ones I do find attractive. Before, during and after the game I'm focused on our reason for being there and I don't get distracted by sexual thoughts. After the game we frequently hang out in the locker room chatting over a case of beer and as the game adrenaline winds down I do find the scene to be erotic; Team mates in various stages of undress lingering over a case of beer, sometimes for an hour. I never thought about the locker room until recently, but I have come to realize that the guys I'm attracted to are mostly athletes and there is a very strong association between the men and the locker room. I like the atmosphere and the smell. I would never hit on a team mate unless there was clear evidence that he was interested in me, and even then it would probably not be in the locker room; though to go back to the fantasy part I think it would be hot if maybe two of us hung out in the locker room after everyone else was gone.

Don't find public sex very interesting or erotic personally, even if no one is around. Much rather be in a private location.
