Changes are a'comin' to the All-Star Game. In addition to being for bragging/home-field-advantage-rights, the uniforms will be, well, uniform. Instead of appearing in their team uniforms, the All-Stars will don an official AL or NL uniform. Fom Luis Gonzalez: "I liked that clash of colors. Everyone wearing their team's uniform made the game unique." I agree with Gonzo--I'll miss seeing Cardinal Red and Dodger Blue mixing & blending. Now it'll just be home whites and away grays.

I heard somewhere that that's not a sure thing. The player's association doesn't like it, and it might be subject to change.

I'd assume they'll do this just to sell "All Star" merchandise. I hope people aren't that sheep-like.

Amen, CITT. Another crass move by Beelzebud... His ideas for making the All-Star Game "meaningful" are to change everything that was unique about it.
