CNN Breaking News: Lopez concedes!

Apr. 6: Baltimore Orioles catcher Javy Lopez scheduled a press conference to concede defeat in this year’s King of the Hardwood competition to Detroit Lion’s quarterback Joey Harrington. After a bruising and contentious contest, Lopez will make the announcement at 4:00PM EDT, prior to his team’s game against the Oakland Athletics. Lopez advisors made the decision to concede at 3:20AM after polls closed.

Speaking to a jubilant thong of Harrington supporters in New York’s famed Waldorf Astoria ballroom, a Lynda Carteresque looking Married Lady wearing a glittering, strapless American flag Vera Wang gown announced, “All is right with the world!” She then turned to present to the cheering masses, a tired, but still grinning, Joey Harrington in his pajamas resting comfortably with the Harrington campaign’s New England regional chair BPT336 beside him.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper via satellite hookup from Rome, attempted to speak with Lopez Campaign manager Gaga4Gaby about the race. When asked by Cooper if, “the threats of physical violence may have damaged his candidates chances,” Gaga simply turned green, ripped his shirt off, and hurled a tennis racket through the visual monitor ending the interview.

This is so disappointing. I wish I could have voted, but I have been on vacation. Damn, why Javy, Why? All the squatting pictures, the one with you in the retro uniform...I wanted you to take it all the way. Alas, when I first laid eyes on Joey Harrington, I had to do a doubletake. He is a hot guy. At least you lost to a hottie, and not to somebody like Randy Johnson.

Well, I'm just glad we have this little rest between matches. The Joey Party needs a chance to rest.

I dunno, Married Lady, Joey vs. Ben is going to be pretty tough. I've been voting for both of them up 'til now. It's going to be a tough decision - the lack of shirtless Joey pics might be a problem.

I agree, Joey is a lot of fun. It would be hella fun to take him to dinner. I think he'd be tons of fun to hang out with. But, when I think of Ben, my thoughts stray to more "adult" topics.

I think you need to find some Joey-in-his-underwear pics and post them. Then I'll reconsider my vote.

But, those are like the holy grail of photos. Many have quested, none were successful.

He's really Catholic - Catholic school, priests in the family, the whole nine-yards, and he doesn't do anything that his mom wouldn't like. All I can say in his defense:

Perhaps we should set up a trap for him then: you can pose as a nun, I can pose as a priest, and we can separately try to entice him to pose in his undies for some pics for us. We'll tell him his mom died and she would want him to do this for his fans everywhere.
