Tim Tebow - Heisman Award winner, now

Damn...that is a hot pic of Tebow. Tall and thick...just like I like em. And he's a fellow lefty so he gets more props for being a southpaw who is the first sophomore to have ever won the Heisman.

I would have preferred Colt Brennan for the Heisman, but if a sophomore had to win it, I'm glad that it went to Tim Tebow. And, I enjoyed Tim looking so handsome in his grey suit and the presence of his handsome Florida Head Football Coach Urban Meyer. And, all of these young men are definitely gentlemen as well as athletes, all of them.

I'd like to join Philliproy in congratulating all four of the Heisman finalists for being exceptional athletes, upstanding young men, and good-looking guys! All four gentlemen are winners, but I'd like to offer this post as a tribute to this year's top vote-getter, the awesome (and really cute!) Tim Tebow: may he stay healthy and have a truly wonderful career both in college and in the NFL!

I think it is touching to hear Tim Tebow's family history. (I didn't know this until
I happened to read an article about Tim this afternoon).

But, the road to the Heisman was not easy for Tim Tebow.

His parents, already raising four children, were missionaries in the Philippines.
His mother had an infection caused by a pathogenic amoeba while pregnant with Tim.
The doctors advised abortion. But Tim's parents prayed. Bob Tebow told God that
if He wanted another preacher on this Earth, he was prepared to raise him.

Tim almost died four times. So, Tim survived being born. Hold your head up,
all you sickly babies out there.


Tim Tebow was also homeschooled but allowed to play high school football.

I want to congratulate Matt on that ass....

Looks more like a caricature from the comic books I used to love as a kid oh-too-many years ago.

But I wouldn't necessarily attribute that kind of "definition" to use of banned steroids if that's what you're implying. The appearance of musculature distribution and structure is probably as much genetic as induced by nutrition or excercise.

For instance look at the arms of Dana Stubblefield, who recently pleaded guilty to using banned substances, when he was playing:



His arms are big but have nothing of the definition (and attractiveness) of Landry's in my opinion.

As for aesthetic appeal, to each his own. But I find LaRon Landry's body a lot more bedable than Stubblefields. But then I'm as much turned on by personality and intelligence as muscles.

I know this is a football thread, but did anyone happen to catch the Floriday/Kentucky basketball game Saturday night? Tim Tebow was there and was on camera several times. Not only did his smile constantly distract me from working (I work at a bar), but when he was interviewed at one point I had to turn the volume up. Hearing his voice, deep with a mid-west accent, well let's just say I caused a little bit of a scene. I won't call him out, but another poster here was working with me that night and witnessed this whole exchange.

As for comparing Tebow and Locker, Locker is sexier by a mile for me.

Tebow's humility and natural intelligence are endearing but watch Locker's body language as he engages each questioner looking directly at them, listening to the specific question and watching them as he answers as though he is interested in knowing whether the question was answered.

He has the natural instincts of a really good politician - not necessarily a bad thing IMO.

Tebow seems like he would be great sex. Locker seems like he'd be a keeper...and great sex.

Since I've been in a nearly 21 year relationship you decide which I'd prefer.

I'd have to see this Locker kid shirtless to tell if he compares to Tebow or not.

Personally, I'd take Tebow every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

Jake's been bulking up this spring, so can't wait to see those shirtless pics. He's very religious, however, and always does the "right things", so it's highly doubtful we'd ever see a drunken, passed-out, shirtless Locker at a frat party type pictures (a la Vince Young).

Unfortunate indeed.

These are from the July 2005 elite camp with Tim Tebow, Matthew Stafford, Mitch Mustain, Cody Hawkins, Jake Locker, etc. They're all over 18 now, so it's OK to drool.

Well, my Huskies (UW, not UConn) got a thorough drubbing by their arch-rival, the Oregon Ducks, last night. It was to be expected, as the Huskies coached by Tyrone Willingham just are not good at all.

I normally don't like the Ducks, but they do have one of my favorite players - Patrick Chung.

Chung is part of a ferocious and fast Oregon defense, which chased Jake Locker the entire game. Locker was running for his life the entire night.

Washington's season doesn't get any easier, as they have BYU next, then Oklahoma...not to mention the rest of the Pac-10 including USC. Sigh. But this pregame photo did bring on a smile.
