Guess I'm the carrier of lost causes, but louisville's goofy-looking Hunter Cantwell has gotten some tough breaks:

"Ok coach, which way are we going this half?"

IPB Image

More pointer than hunter - "Hey, I didn't ask to be anybody's Great White Hope!"

Fortunately more than usual of that 6'5" and 227 lbs went into a cute butt.

IPB Image

At the rate he's playing he should do well - pitching in baseball minor league. I'll be watching.

That's the only stat that counts.

Since I'm out west, I don't pay as much attention to programs back east just like you East Coasters don't know that there are teams out west. So I'd never heard of this guy.

Someone on the Huskies board posted about his 3 INT, 2 Fumble performance, and said (re: JL's own QB performance against the Ducks), at least it was not that bad.

I know misery loves company, but there's not much consolation there.
I think I will take solace in this. IPB Image

Haha, thanks for the laugh sportinlife! Dem boys sure are fine.
Slick Rick used to coach the Huskies and left the team in shambles, so it was a hard pill to swallow last night watching his team win. But I took comfort that it was an SEC team that UCLA beat.

Gatorade owes that man some money.

Back to the Bruins and Vols:

Korey Bosworth (who looks a bit like the Gatorade man) shows a nice arch tackling Jonathan Crompton

The well-toned Vol in the background (#21) caught my eye in this photo

It was well worth the time to look him up cause Austin Rogers is as cute as a button with lips and a smile you just want to suck in.

Ditto for Alterraun Verner, the dapper Bruin he's giving the evil (lustful?) blue eye.

I kinda wish I went to that UO - UW game now for Jake Locker and all the other hotties on the field.
I hope to see more teams wearing white pants though!

Jake Locker turned in a valiant effort, but BYU in the end was too much for the one-man team that is the Washington Huskies.

Close...but still out of reach. IPB Image

The upside is, with every loss brings the Huskies that much closer to getting a new (and hopefully better) coach. One of the candidates being talked about is the BYU coach who just beat them.

Bronco Mendenhall - whatta name, huh?

Well, this really sucks. As I get older the college guys get hotter. Though I will still indulge myself in college eye candy. And just think six months of hot NCAA jocks-both football and then wrestling.
Now I didn't know where to post this question so I decided this would be the best place as any.
What is the unofficial, 'official' name for the male version of the, 'dumb blonde'? Would 'dumb jock' fit in this catagory? Reason is, I have several of these types living in my apt. complex. Musclular atheletic types but couldn't count to ten without their shoes off. Anyway, needed to know what catagory to place them in. Just courious so I don't call it out when the guy tries to put the condom on backwards in the dark. blink.gif

I believe the Longhorns do, and look quite nicely in those white pants of theirs! And #9 of the Huskies in the pic above is wearing jockstraps it looks like.

Unfortunately, my hot jock QB Jake Locker prefers the brief shorts that come down mid-thigh.

Ah, if he'd been in an earlier era, we'd all be seeing his amazing butt "strapped in." Sigh.

Unfortunately for Husky Nation, the Huskies football team is not pretty at all. They got shell-lacked 55-14 by a great Oklahoma team. I knew they had a great QB in Sam Bradford, very accurate and poised for his age. !

Not to mention adorable too. IPB Image

With a cute little toosh. He can shake it in my face anytime! Especially if he keeps scoring 6 TD's a game. IPB Image

Brandstater certainly has got the rugged good looks down pat. I like this latest pic and that Gatorade shot.

And yes, Sam Bradford's absolutely adorable. He's got that tall, lanky frame to go with his boyish good looks. And surgical QB skills.

Another Heisman contender, Mark Sanchez under the hot California sun IPB Image
hedwy
Another cute young QB, Ronnie Fouch. UW's backup QB is a redshirt Freshman, but he's demonstrating superior passing skills to the more athletic Jake Locker. Of course, Ronnie comes from a nice passing system at his California high school, whereas Locker played in a Wing-T in high school and threw at most 4 or 5 times a game.

Both teams were wearing white pants. You would think we would see a jockstrap fest, but noo, they all wore the long brief shorts. That blows.

Locker's body type and game remind me of Drew Brees, whereas Bradford's remind me of Trent Green (though I find Locker and Green to be the cuter of the foursome) which makes me wonder if the college QB's future careers in the NFL will parallel their predecesors; assuming they go that route.

I suspect both are academic enough to have other less physically stressful options.

Locker is taller and bigger than Brees and has more of a linebacker's build than a QB's. A 6'3" 230-lb linebacker with the speed and moves of a running back. He won't make it to the pros as a QB as he's not a natural passer at this point. He's only a sophomore, though, so he has 2.75 more seasons to develop that part of his game, assuming he gets the right coaching and talent around him. Right now he has neither. Just his god-given athletic ability, incredible strong arm and fast legs, and strong work ethic.

The flip side of Locker is Sam Bradford who has great pocket presence, poise and ability to quickly make his reads and get the ball out of his hands and into his receivers'. As I noted earlier, he is surgical. Bradford does have the luxury of one of the best offensive lines in college ball, reminiscent of Troy Aikman's Cowboys' oline from the early 90s, and a talented cast around him, not to mention great coaching. I saw two of his TD throws where Sam threw 5-yard passes to his receivers and they broke 3 or 4 tackles to run for 70 yards to the endzone. Both times. In the same half.

If I were a gambler, I'd put my money on Sam Bradford making it to the NFL over Jake Locker.

Locker reminds me a lot of a college-age Brett Favre. Favre came from a run-dominant offense in high school also and rarely threw the ball, hence he got no scholarship offers for college and had to beg one of the local MS scouts to come by and check him out. They saw the kid throw some laser passes and decided to take a chance on him at Southern Miss. It took him a while but he eventually developed his passing game, got into the NFL, met Mike Holmgren and the rest was history.

Anyway, the Huskies season thus far has got me depressed, so click on link for more Jake Locker hotness as he describes the debacle of the Oregon opener a few weeks ago.

That's actually not Locker, but you're correct in that it's not his first time with guys wanting to take his head off. Exhibit A from his freshman year in 2007 when some Ohio State linebacker nearly took his head off and wouldn't let go and the ref was looking at it and didn't make the call at all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTbw-Y-yugg

It's pretty gruesome how teams have game-planned to take him out. Us Husky fans have seen it last year and this year, and it's a wonder he hasn't been put on a stretcher and ambulanced to the hospital. Oh wait, yes he was, in the Oregon State game last year when he laid on the field for 15 minutes without moving. IPB Image Locker on stretcher with concerned teammate, Corey Williams, #18.

He takes a lot of punishment, due to both the nature of how he plays the game and to the baaaad Husky line. No wonder he's now out 6-8 weeks at least, if not the entire season. The head coach is now talking about Jake possibly coming back earlier in a different position, one where he wouldn't need to use his broken right hand. They're thinking defensive back. With the way the Husky defense has been like a sieve, the thinking is put their best athlete there (Jake) as it couldn't get worse!

Goes to show you how DEPLORABLY BAD the Husky defense is, that they're even entertaining the thought of risking their already-injured star QB by putting him on defense. Absolutely ridiculous. Can't wait for the coaching change at the end of the season.

hedwy
Enough of my rant from the last post, here's some fine, young Husky pups to cheer me up (and anyone interested out there).

True freshman Johri Fogerson hugging the mother of Jermaine Kearse, another true freshman (right). Both have burned their redshirts and are playing, due to the lack of depth and injuries to upperclassmen starters. Fogerson is actually a running back but since the Huskies defensive unit needs so much help, they converted him to defensive back.

IPB Image

Two more true freshmen playing. Kavario Middleton, middle, is the promising Tightend, and Cody Bruns, right, is a highly-touted wide receiver. Chris Polk, guy on left with arm in sling, is another true freshman running back that was very promising but then got injured and is out for the season.

IPB Image

On the bright side, backup QB Ronnie Fouch performed admirably in Saturday's losing effort. He really is a good passer. I couldn't find any cute pics of him, but here is his first press conference as he is now the Husky starting QB for the remainder of the season. I'm really liking the longer hair. Fouch is very composed for a freshman.

This week's edition of the woeful Washington Huskies, told in pictures. The Huskies lost 48-14 to the Arizona Wildcats in a Pac-10 game. They now hold the distinction of having the nation's longest losing streak, at 7 games going back to last season. This is the second winningest program in Pac-10 history, so it is a BITTER PILL for Husky fans to go through these last few years.
