Not to be technical, but the U-Dub mascot is and has always been a Malamute since the 1920s; they've never used an actual Husky. I believe Malamutes are either a member of the Husky family or closely related to the Siberian Husky. So "Dubs" is a a Malamute, which are bigger and have brown eyes as opposed to the blue eyes of the Husky.
Lex, Dubs is 6 months old. He was introduced to the public and media in February when he was a wee 3-month old pup and was absolutely adorable. He'll make his "official debut" at the LSU game, and I'm sure he'll be a big stud by then.
