LOL, JIP! Interesting timing, too. Billy Bean and Erik "Gumby" Andersen were on KPBS in SD this a.m talking about gay athletes and Piazza's name came up as one who had to work to be straight. Also of note for its absence: David Kopay's name was forgotten when out pro athletes were named, Billy citing Esra Tuaolo instead. Let's not forget that Kopay was WAAAAAY ahead of his time and gave a lot of us courage and inspiration!
