Course most jocks don't think of them as porn... and I suspect most don't meet most peoples definition of porn - but nude shots? partying naked? pranks in the buff? - most are done on a dare or for a joke - you would be amazed what guys on a rowdy team celebrating will get up to...

I have a pic somewhere in storage of my entire college football team streaking down Duke Univ Rd in Durham during the early 80's (We had already Christened the rest of the campus.) it was taken by an Duke Alumni, copied, framed and given to each of the participants. I think one cop did try to stop us, but his partner was laughing too hard...

Look at all the teams that pose with nothing but Footballs, Basketballs, Soccer Balls, etc...

My HS V Basball team took a pic with nothing in front of us but our hands, Gloves, and grounded Bats...

Hell - one activity for pledging my Frat was an early morning streak in Top Hats; If you ran into a Prof, Frat Member, or a woman, you had to stop, bow deeply while sweeping your hat off, and offer the compliments of the Frat Brothers of XXX... then resume the early morning run...

Suprisingly few of these kind of shots make the internet (Thank God!!!)

I got a question! Can the US Olympic Committee keep an athlete out of the USA team for moral issues? I notice that the USOC is pretty conservative and the USA team members tend to be clean cut and well behaved.

I remember Tonya Harding - did she skate in the USA team after the knee whacking incident? Was she found guilty or was she under suspicion in time of the Winter Olympics?

Graham Ackerman is cute and looks handsome - but I hate to think that the USOC could ground him home at 2008.

Are my fears well-founded, comrades?

Yes, Tonya skated as an Olympic team member less than one month after the knee-whacking incident...but before she was found responsible for it. That is why she was allowed to skate. After everything came out about her involvement, she was banned for life from USA Skating.

Congress has vested the USOC with A LOT of discretion and sovereignty of its own, as evidenced by its successful '80s-era suit to forbid the Gay Olympics from using its logo, even when every other special interest group is allowed to do so. Thus, in the absence of any federal civil rights protections for G&L athletes, and in light of the supremacy of Congress' grant of autonomy to the USOC that would presumably trump any state court enforcement actions to allow them to participate, in states having such protections, I believe the answer is an unfortunate "yes."

I'm no expert, but I believe the IOC (not the USOC) is more responsible for issues pertaining to the trademark and name, although the USOC may very well have been involved.

The IOC is almost fanatical about other groups using the word "Olympics" except for the Special Olympics which have IOC approval. I think it is misleading for you to infer that *only* the Gay Games have been prohibited from using the word. Can you name a prominent group (other than the Special Olympics) that uses the word?
