That's hilarious! What a cool and fun idea. Was this a gay event?

On Jay Leno the other night they showed a picture of this event with Jay's face superimposed on one of the hot-looking runners.

not a gay event; a runner's event. i'm guessing the photographer might have been family judging from the dearth of women in the pictures (they do run -- in speedos -- too.)

the post race party is held at a local bar, where everyone is hanging out in speedos. definitely homoerotic, but not gay.

this year was great -- weather in the 40's, but some years it's not so warm here in boston the week before christmas. last year it was in the 20's with flurries, if i remember right (i still feel the cold!), but regardless the weather, the dress code (perhaps the only road race that has one) is always the same -- speedos all 'round!

Couldn't imagine it was a gay event. Too many of the guys actually had body hair.

A beter race to run in Boston (albeit more clothed) is the Yuletide Stride, put on by Frontrunners Boston which benefits people with AIDS. Usually first weekend in December on the Common.

Here's another slideshow from last Saturday's Santa Speedo Run. (I've skipped over the clothed pics from the pre-race "hydration" festivities...)

Aside from the event itself, the background is quintessential Boston -- red brick and granite, gas lamps, Tow Zone signs... and oh yeah, goodlooking men on every corner!

as you can see, we have snoww in boston, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits. a good, if chilly time was had by all.

i think this needs to become an outsports event in the future!

Thanks for the nice pics -just love those good skimpy Speedos. Too bad those guys weren't in the pool, then we'd have some nice wet skin as well. :cool:

By the way, we should put together a campaign for Speedo (and other swim wear makers) to get rid of those yeeeeeecccchy body suits. Hate 'em! :mad:

Wow, that guy is hot. I can't believe that he is a teacher.

Being a teacher is fine. I'm just bummed the camera only shows him from (that beautiful) chest up. The event is the Santa SPEEDO Run. All pics should be required to show the Speedo!
