I couldn't agree more. This pic more than any expresses why I adore swimmers: long, lean, tone and not bulging with muscles, arms so long they practically drag ape-like on the ground. I really really really hate the idea that advanced swimmers have said good-bye to the traditional Speedo, but at the college pool where I swim after work, I do still get to see a number of the lads clothed in very skimpy suits, the kind of suits that cling aggressively around the boy's hips with the waistband just a nano-bit above the pubic line and top of the butt crack. Their minimal size in front really compacts the m-anaconda within, and when the monster breaks free, in that instant between the chill of the pool and the heat of the shower, he stretches and contorts to life, breaking forth from the slavery of the Speedo to freedom.

God, life is beautiful sometimes.

These aren't from the World Swimming Championships, but I think you will all understand!

I've always thought Anthony Ervin was a cutie, and I've gotten some *ahem* "vibes" from him even through the television. Would love to know if I'm right. But this is one my favorite pics of young Anthony, where he is giving Gary Hall a look of passion and friendship. Great photos twin, but from the article it seems like Phelps needs to pace himself. He may be young but there's almost a year before the 2004 Olympics and it would be a tragedy if he burned out before then.

I think the swimmer who was doing all the pec massage was James Gibson, who won the 50m breaststroke and took third in the 100m.

The Brits did very well at the Worlds. Their National Team Coach, Bill Sweetenham, has done a great job building their confidence going into Athens.
