Sorry, I should have explained that since you haven't seen the video. Apparently it was broadcast in the original presentation of the 400m preliminaries race by NBC (or at least I assume so, since I apparently may have missed some of the original).

The situation was that Darold Williamson ran in a heat just before Jeremy Wariner. The commentator had been talking about how close they were when racing together at Baylor and have been since. Williamson qualified through in his heat coming in third (first four qualified to go through) and was sitting on the sidelines still exhausted but cheering on Wariner who was running in the next heat. After Wariner won his heat the two had one of their famous hugs though Wariner broke it off a little faster than normal.

The commentator said they must be anxious to get back to "their room" to wind down or something to that nature. In context it just sounded so suggestive that I could not help finishing that little scenario in my fantasies last night.

Their "winding" did not go down for a long time in those fantasies, I can assure you.

BTW - when cheering Wariner I could not quite be sure what Williamson's pet name for Wariner was but it sounded a lot like "pookie". Now there's the makings of a whole new fantasy for tonight. I think I'll get busy. wink biggrin.gif

PS- A quick internet search confirms that some avid Wariner fans say the nickname is \"pookie\"

Thanks sportinlife

Yeah, I think I would've also come up with a fantasy of my own after hearing about them being anxious to get back to "their room" to wind down biggrin.gif

His USATF athlete bio also mentions "pookie" being embroidered on his racing spikes.

What a perfect nickname for Jeremy smile.gif

All great pictures sportinlife, thanks for posting.

Hi sterlingman!

Asafa Powell vid's can be downloaded via BBC;
main part of the You Tube video of him (and of better quality too!) is in their Motion Gallery .

You can also go to their main page and search for 'Powell' under category 'Sports' where you will find more videos .

Hey Finneye smile.gif

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. I will look into it.
sportinlife
Finneye are you trying to make an addict of us all? As if that video of Powells pulsating package were not enough, I now have to contend with this magnificent torso.
Finneye
Who? Me?? If I was to do that, I would've asked you to watch Chris Lambert's performance . Oops, did it now anyway...

He works quite nicely synchronized with the guy in blue to his left.
sportinlife
Okay guy. It's far too early in the morning to be forcing me to start doing research - before I even get to work. Though admittedly this sort is much more pleasant with the weekend coming up.

Anyways Marcin Urbas is one sexy looking Pol (apologies to our fearless co-leader at OS) and the site of him and Chris Lambert waving their flagpoles at each other was enough to make every porn movie I've seen look jaded.

Then they have to linger on Lambert's obscenely sexolicious butt long enough to make me want to mess up my pants. This going to be a looong day work, I can tell.

Thanks Finneye...I think. wink

Bernard Williams of Baltimore is not only a marvelous sprinter and a skillful juggler (with his spikes) . He’s also got a lot of rhythm in his heart (and butt) .

Of course you will find this video in BBC's Motion Gallery as well, but without the music I think it's not as much fun.
sterlingman
Finneye,

I just downloaded the Asafa Powell video to a DVD Dude was bouncing quite nicely smile.gif

I will be downloading the rest of the videos you linked us to, like the one of Chris Lambert.

Thanks again.

Dayyum! Is this geared specifically to BBC's gay male, bi and female readers?

So that's who that guy was that I saw in in this photo with Australian Joshua Ross and Jamaican Asafa Powell They certainly make an interesting threesome. wink
Finneye
Yes, Michael Frater! He was caught In Manchester in 2002,
in Santo Domingo in 2003,
in Athens in 2004,
again in Athens
and in Helsinki in 2005.
But the sweetest one of his portraits is this view from Paris in 2003!

But let's not forget our friend Asafa Powell. The Jamaicans were unfortunately wearing black shorts at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and that’s not the best choise for enjoyable photographic results...
But at the IAAF games earlier this month in Melbourne the outfits were more to my liking.
I also like the way he holds one of his batons (or the right hand thumb parallel to the other baton)!!

I love how the color of his neckchain matches the yellow in his singlet and dark skin.

I've always thought that athletes have a particularly active gay gene when it comes to narcissism about their bodies. Most would not be caught dead competing improperly assessorized.

I agree, and it seems he knows that too.

Well, I guess he must always keep that in mind, otherwise he might too easily loose balance in the middle of a race.
Finneye
Green is definitely the colour of this spring (or should we say fall, as it at this time mainly is displayed in the southern hemisphere...

It's kinda hard to decide who looks best in green, is it Miller or Shirvington? Or perhaps Batman without or with baton or perhaps Houghton of Northern Ireland with sharper objects?

We could also choose the entire AUS relay team , but I think we still have a winner in the South African team in display of clours and good taste!

Sportinlife continues to amaze me with the pics he finds -- I do Picture This every day and it can be a struggle to find images that work.
sportinlife
D'ooh. You're making me blush: ohmy.gif
Finneye
Green might be the colour, but the Blues are striking back!

I think we need to disqualify Asafa Powell for overexposure but there are others, such as Kemel Thompson in 400 m Hurdles, Cosmas Rono in 800m, and Charles Allen in 110m Hurdles.

I guess the award would go to Ainsley Waugh (left) of 100m or Clinton Hill of 400m.
sportinlife
Now Finneye I am surprised. You didn't include Adam Miller qualifying through in the 100m right on the front page. Are you being biased against red highlights? wink

As disturbing as it is every time I am confronted with this fact, I must admit: Nobody's perfect, not even me sad.gif

I stand corrected, thanks sportinlife! wink

Does it make anything good if I add to the blues gallery Josh Ross
or what the heck, let's make it two

And to complete the pack, one shot of Craig Mottram or 'Buster the Great' who is wearing my native colours, white and blue (not that I have anything against red either).
Finneye
By the way, this is the only position in which a highjumper should be photographed. Makes a great profile. As posed by Tora Harris.

This man in red is Roy Abulge ...wait... Alugbue of USC.

Red becomes DeSean Cunningham of USC,
not to mention Phillip Francis
and Chris Peart.

Josh Ross is quite a cutie!!
