I know, sport, I know sad.gif Stefan Tärnhuvud is irritatingly hot. And moreover, there is a connection between him and Asafa...

Stefan lives in northern Sweden. Perhaps he'd like us to come up sometime and do some barbequing?

He was training in Jamaica last January with Asafa Powell. In his webblogg (terrific reading, by the way) there is a picture he has taken of Asafa taking off from training blocks.

With this picture he is asking the Swedish athletics bosses: When will I get a sign like this?

I'd give it to him any day (I mean the sign of course).

That does it! I hope there's no law against driving with a raging boner. I may have to "take care of things" before hitting the road.

Those two make the perfect complement, in more ways than one. Powell's parents are both ministers so he has to be a really, really bad boy in bed. Oh, to be a fly on the wall there. wink
Finneye
sportinlife, is that you?

OMG!
That has to be a fold...right? He cannot be sporting wood at the starting blocks?????
If he is...He is braver than I would ever be with that!

Amazing what one can do with photoshop, eh? I'm both three tones lighter and inches longer. Now if I could just bend over with that thing to get into proper starting position, assuming I'm sprinting.

Cuba's 110m hurdler Dayron Robles is a good reason to become a reverse boat-person

Powell is being pursued by a Gay...and this is news? rolleyes.gif

This tongue action seems to be a very Gay thing - or is it just Asafa that brings it about.

He did it in Zurich as well!

Cannot blaim him though. Jarkko Ruostekivi is something that brings my tongue out. It only looks as if those guys in red had managed to seize him before me.

I pause 1,000,000 cyber mircroseconds to respect the athletic career of the youngest decathlete in the history of the Olympics:

Robert Bruce \"Bob\" Mathias died Saturday of cancer.

What a great athlete he was! I find especially touching this cover of the TIME Magazine with him and the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.

It is sad that there are no guys like him being made any more.

No sooner do we morn the death of an icon than another world-class athlete is killed - again by friendly fire from USA forces in Afghanistan. Pat Tillman died the same way. This time it's Canadian 400m runner Mark Graham:

Afghanistan is starting look like the place you do no want to serve if you're an athlete. There is no safe war zone but what a coincidence. Sad.

Thanks again, Finneye, for another great set of pics! Who is the Svelte Swede in blue???

Athletes at Oxford. Whodda thunkit?

And a tally ho, ho, ho to you to hunk in the middle

Who looks different in this photo?

Finneye -love the pole-vaulters -- would love even more photos of them in action showing their pits in full jump mode. Love muscular, slim torsos -- track athletes are the hottest! Many thanks to finneye and sportinlife for the superb pics. Shameless pit lover here (lol) --tanktop

Glad you like tanktop. Forgot to mention that the guy to the left in the first photo in my last post looks to be the same person as the wardrobe-challenged ham in the second.

Didn't know the Oxford University Athletic Club had folks more vain about their perfect pecs and thighs than they are about their brains. Sorta cool to look at but don't know what it means for the future of British intellectual health.

As for the quality of the pictures I post, I give the credit to the wonders of modern digital photography and the popularity of more revealing uniforms and unisexual accessories like earrings and neckchains on the guys, who are obviouly as much into their looks as we are. (We won't mention the advances in nutritional supplements - all legal of course wink )

Witness some older photos from as recently as 2003 from one of my favorite haunts Trackshark:

What a sin not to have a better view of that bulge

And a neckchain would not look bad at all on this lovely creature

These pits certainly would be nicer up close

Nice pic of a hurdler in flight, but an amateur could do better with a good digital nowadays

Doesn't dull my appreciation for those beautiful athletes in the above photos, but recent circumstances have surely enhanced my viewing pleasure.

In late September, two Swedish sprinters Stefan Tärnhuvud and Johan Engberg escaped the Swedish autumn to participate the Tahitian Pearl Grand Prix meeting in Tahiti.

The guys shared a huge suite at a hotel crowded with honeymooners. They were the only men staying there together which of course raised well deserved attention among the other guests, and the boys' behaviour did not help to ease suspicions over their relationship.

Stefan and Johan really enjoyed themselves in that earthly paradise,

trainined their oral skills,

and made friends with other distinguished gentlemen.

Stefan's keen attention to the giant manta ray makes him an easy catch for the two french athletes just about to seize him.

The pair was fooling around at the pool late at night,

took pictures of each other at sunset,

made trips around the island,

played hide and seek,

and discovered amazing hideaways to be found at.

I do wish I could have joined them and taken these pictures, but they all originate from Stefan’s and Johan's private collections...
sportinlife
Is that the same Stefan Tärnhuvud who once practiced with Asafa Powell in Jamaica? Ooooh, Asafa is gonna be soooo jealous! tongue.gif

Then again what would be wrong with a threesome? Engberg is not bad looking either.

It’s the same fella, sport!
Unfortunately, Asafa wasn’t there, but in Tahiti Stefan was beaten (only) by the Australian veteran Patrick Johnson. Actually it’s no wonder, as Patrick was of course competing so close to his home ground. How the guys did party after the race, we can only imagine... rolleyes.gif
Finneye
Wow, sportinlife! I can see you have hit a genuine goldmine there.
Great photos, and the German pole vault team (Stabhochsprungteam, as they say it) is really a pack in a class of its own.

According to the latest news though, there is trouble in paradise. It relates to the self-nominated king (or queen?) of them all, Tim Lobinger. German newspapers report that he has sent to the other guys an e-mail (no kidding) saying that he won't play with them any more and is going to jump out of the team.

This sounds odd, because it looks as if Tim had always been very close friends with the rest of the guys. Perhaps he is just a drama queen?

Anyway, he has always loved posing with the guys for photos, as you can see below:

Tim and Danny Ecker (love their rainbow-colored necklaces!)

Tim and Danny Ecker

Tim and Fabian Schulze

Tim and Oliver Minzlaf (isn’t this just a stereotypical gay bar shot?)

Tim and German long jumper Shariar Bigdeli (oh-la-la!)

Tim and Rens Blom (Netherlands)

Tim and Okkert Brits (South Africa)

Tim and Lars Börgeling

Tim and Lars again

Tim and “Kühni”, his trainer Michael Kühnke

Tim and Kühni surfing the net...

Kühni isn't just a touch coach, he also loves to wait tables in a very professional way

Tim and Jeff Hartwig (USA)

Your "Perhaps he is just a drama queen" photo pretty much sums it up. Little Timmy is obviously big where it counts. And I didn't notice any of those other vaulters shying away from posing with him either.

Only the USA's Hartwig wasn't being just as cozy Lobinger.

Most USA athletes are so uptight.

Before we forget all about this guy...
...lets' take another look at Markus Pöyhönen.

Of late he has been more active with other things than running 100 meters, mostly due to repeated injuries. Perhaps we'll get a change to hear more of him later this month, I'll keep in touch cool.gif

But what is he looking at and who is he with?

Couldn't get into the first link cause it requires signing up or something.

But the second link makes it irrelevant!

Judging drag queens! Either Markus is one of us or a metrosexual who sure knows how to party.

Too cool. laugh.gif

One might think being a sprinter is all about your legs and feet. It’s not. It has a lot to do with your arms and even more your hands, during, after and before the race. Take for instance Asafa Powell. He can do amazing things with his hands, in particular when getting prepared for a race.

See for yourself in this YouTube video! Got my point?

There is another area of his body that is at least equally prominent. It is well known in his native Jamaica, although many of his countrymen like to pretend not to notice it.
Read the story of the Most Prominent Bulge in The Jamaica Star.
sportinlife
According to his profile he's the First ever UofL athlete to earn a World Championship medal.

According to me he's just totally adorable.

Who's he thinking about?

Must be pleasant thoughts.

He certainly has very pleasant curves.
sportinlife
Normally I like a guy to last a little longer than 9.77 seconds

But there are exceptions to every rule (video)
