And I hadn't notice that huge butt before I saw him playing Federer today. With those long-shorts those mounds put even most female tennis players to shame.

He doesn't really take a bad picture, does he? Nadal celebrates

Sorry, but Nadal's lopsided arms really bother me.
azairforce
Very sexy guy!! great body and great ass!!
smalltownboy
Most tennis players and ice creme dippers have lopsided arms!

That boy is HOT HOT, HOT!

Any one-handed sport, or one that causes preference for the use of one hand will cause some disproportionate development in the side of the body that is most used.

Even those that aren't thought to be one-handed, like swimming, can have the effect if your technique employs one side more than the other.

I think Ian Thorpe is a prime example. His right side is the driver, and that side develops.
illini n milwaukee
Yeah, of course the arm he hits with is going to be the stronger one........but this is some big time lopsidedness. You don't get that one arm that much bigger than the other just by hitting a tennis ball. He has to just work out that one arm and not the other.

An interesting thing I noticed about Nadal is that he often eats what appears to be yogurt at courtside, and always uses his right hand to spoon it.

I Wondered if he's ambidextrous (which I think is more common among athletes) or was taught to eat with his right as a child and never dropped the habit.

According to his profile he is right-handed but plays left-handed and uses a two handed backhand.

I remember during a poll I did here on Outsports that some guys perform different functions with different hands. Maybe one of them can comment on how or why that happens.

There's also this from an article on the 'left-handed advantage':
QUOTE
Nadal is a natural right-hander who makes his millions with his left. His mentor and fellow Majorcan Carlos Moya, who won the French Open in 1998, is a natural left-hander who plays with his right. \"Nobody forced me; it was just the hand I used when I started out at 3 or 4,\" Moya said. \"Maybe somebody just handed me the racket that way.\"
Nadal is not the only left-handed player on the way up. His slightly older Spanish compatriots Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco, who both lost in the first round here, are in the top 50. Donald Young of the United States, a 15-year-old with big feet and soft hands, became the youngest male to win a Grand Slam junior title when he prevailed at this year's Australian Open. And Patty Schnyder, the curly-haired Swiss player with the languid serve and maddening blend of spins, is working her way back into the top 10 for the first time in six years.

... But Thomas Muster, the Austrian left-hander who was effective enough to win the 1995 French Open and rise to No. 1, also said that the left-handed advantage in tennis is diminishing. He said that racket technology has improved returns to the point that the sliced left-handed serve in the ad-court is no longer as routinely effective. He also said that the rise in the number of quality backhands in the men's game has made it harder for left-handers to do consistent damage with their crosscourt forehands. \"In my days, there was a lot of slice on the backhands, so there was less speed coming back,\" Muster said. \"But now, the top guys are so balanced off both sides that I don't think being a lefty is the same advantage.\"

Moya, for one, would disagree. \"If I had it to do over again,\" he said, \"I'd be a lefty.\"

On NBC they said that Rafael Nadal has been the most photographed man in tennis this year. We should nickname him "Mana Kournikova"
tennisballz
Anna - no way.

Nadal has actually WON some tournaments...
Stjepanidze
My picks:
Of course Jan-Michael, but we don't get to see much of him lately...
Tommy Robredo. And his quarterfinal appearance only presages greater things. Though he should get away from Sergio Tacchini.
We've got to admit that Gaudio has a nice face and great legs. His hair does leave a lot to be desired, and he dresses as if he didn't care that thousands were watching.
Now that we're talking Argentines, I've been watching Mariano Puerta for over a year and his French Open final appearance for me was sheer bliss. And when he was shirtless it was even better. He used to weight 100 kilos but now he's in shape and rock solid (and also married).
Yes, Roddick has his charm and he definitely has filled. Nadal has also filled but I still only like his arms and that's it.
Don't forget Nicolas Kiefer. Great legs, goatie, only has to keep his temper under check. He tends to lose it very often.
There's also something about Andrey Pavel. I remember when he made the ATP master's cup final against Henman and he donned this hideous surgeon-like shirt. Bad haircut, bad posture, winter pale, but good play to make it to the final. Anyway, then he re-appeared in the summer with a Ferrari-red awesome sleeveless shirt, tan as hell, highlights, surfer necklace. The man was transformed. Too bad his tennis hasn't kept up with his improvement.
And of course, Federer might have a big nose but isn't he just delicious in all those photos they take of him in which his face never grimaces? Most tennis players when they're photographed come out with these really awful facial expressions, but Roger? Cool and in control. And his new bandana and haircut help a lot. So, #1 also deserves a mention.

For anyone under twenty they seem to be the hippest attire or fad. All of my straight nephews wear them, or shorts long enough to double for them. smile.gif

Since they can only go so low, both with the hemline and the waistline, they're gonna have to find some other fad eventually. I can hardly wait to see what they think of next. It seems what's really metrosexy is too "gay". rolleyes.gif

For those who were big fans of Michael Chang's beautiful and thick thighs (I count myself among them, of course, biggrin.gif ), I think we've found a replacement in Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan.

Now that's an interesting position.

It looks like a doll that you would buy in an adult toy store, where they would only sell the bottom half smile.gif

Okay I may be the only one here, but I don't think Rafael Nadal is all that cute  Sometimes I see it, but then I shake my head and the delusions go away... wink

You aren't alone. I just don't get it with Nadal. Great player, looking forward to seeing some of his matches from the All England, but as for his looks--as Gaston sang in "Gigi": "It's a bore." Too each his own.

You know, I always thought Tommy Robredo was pretty hot (I loves me those Spanish men) but lately he looks extra hot. Is it a new haircut? Something about his latest photos. biggrin.gif

Nice and sweaty

Looks nice and fit in this position.

I got to say, you're so dreamy...

Tennis Guy
Everyone's own taste is just that, their own.

I think Federer and Nadal are top notch athletes. Extremely gifted tennis plauers. They just don't do it for me. But there are some gentleman I find very attractive in other ways that other people don't understand either.

Sampras has always had the strong, silent type of aura. His quiet confidence and "aw shucks" shyness made him even more attractive to me, with a handsome face (to me anyway) that alone was very appealing.

Very few agree with me on Todd Martin as well. Also strong and silent, and even more shy. He exudes a masculinity I haven't seen in a lot of other players with his humble demeanor. Many disagree, but I thought as the grey hair came, he became even more handsome. Well liked by the other players for his disposition, and by the fans for all those killer night time matches in New York. (To me, he's one of a few players along with Mary Jo Fernandez and Tim Henman who I wish had won at least one slam) If only he were gay and available.

Tim Henman still has an adorable look to him. Even at his age, that boyish face of his makes me smile. The accent doesn't hurt either. wink

I have my agreements with many, though. Gambill, Blake, Roddick, Moya, Keiffer, Haas, Safin, Agassi, Guga, Ginepri, etc...all amazing! biggrin.gif

Is that picture legit? How would anyone get that dirty on a grass court? It looks like he has clay all over his whites but the court is definitely grass.

Here's a cute picture that is definitely Andy (when he was just a youngun!) that someone posted on my tennis group's message board:

Andy Roddick, James Blake, Rafael Nadal...as an ass man that is a rump fest I would enjoy for DAYS!! I got 2 out of 3 on Sunday when I was at the Legg Mason final. James Blake's ass is RIDICULOUS! My goodness. I wouldn't mind smackin Andy's around either. I guess Mandy Moore enjoyed that for the few months they were together. Oh and this picture of Rafael Nadal...look at the curve on that booty.
Phew...thing of beauty!!

Oh my gosh, Nadal's booty is out of control.

As for James Blake, his ass is great. Not as juicy as Javy Lopez's, but great.

Steroids in Tennis? Maybe he should have stuck to swimming.

Andy Roddick is on the cover of Cargo Magazine. I saw him in the window of a convenience store as I walked into the subway yesterday.
