We posted Part 1 of Charlie in the Trees' annual
basbeall preview. As usual, his hottest player per team promises to provide as much controversy as his picks. Fire away!

I'm so glad the "Scott Burrell" thing was corrected. I saw that when I clicked on the site at work and nearly fainted.
I don't know if the Phils or Braves will win the N.L. East. I do know it won't be the Mets.

Now I know that all those posts are leading to just random drivel
The 2003 NL (and WS) champs will be the Mets. I do happen to know that!

The NY Mets have as much of a chance as the NY Rangers.
From the A.L. East preview:
QUOTE
The Devil Rays...spent the offseason collecting rejected leftover parts from the NL East, inexplicably taking on Rey Ordonez (Mets), Marlon Anderson (Phils) and Travis Lee (Phils, but they deny Lee ever was on their roster).

I am flabbergasted by CITT's preview of the NL East:
Mike Hampton NOT the hottest Brave?! Sure he seems likely to have another crap year, but he's still got the same square jaw and perfect buns...
The curse of CITT: the Pirates sent Adam Hyzdu down yesterday.
Hampton is utterly adorable. But CITT seems to have an aversion to facial hair.

Does anyone know what happen to Shane Spencer? I saw on the preview he's no longer a Yank....
Can't believe I won't be seeing those hot tighs and butt in those tight tight Yankees's pants...

He signed with the Indians.

Not ENTIRELY true. Three team hotties sport mustaches: Junior Spivey (Arizona), Kelvim Escobar (Toronto) and Luis Castillo (Florida), who occasionally has some chin growth.
It's just TOO TOO paintful to watch Hampy pitch lately.

In case anyone's thinking that I'm a loon for picking the MINNESOTA TWINS to win the World Series, here's word that the bangwagon is starting to pick up passengers. Welcome aboard, ESPN baseball columnist Jayson Stark, whose asrticle
\"Mark it down: Twins will be the champs\" just went on line.
Always room for more. Vegas odds still have the Twins at 15-1. That's considerably higher than the Cardinals (10-1), Astros (10-1), or even your defending NL East cellar-dwellers, the New York Mets (12-1). They're the bargain on the board. Get in on the ground floor.

CITT you may be right about the Twins, and I wish them luck.
But I expect and hope to see after every piece of media about them: "But they're in the weakest Division in baseball". Just like they did when Cleveland was the bitch master of that Division for 7 years.

I think the Mets have Mess written all over them, but I wish them no ill; they're not in the Cardinal's division and they're not in the same league as the Yankees.
How about Clemens and Pettitte (hottie!). Contreras is sucking big time, though.
Kelvim Escobar is gorgeous, facial hair or not.

NL East:
Hot Brave: Should be Andruw "Juicy Bottom" Jones
Hot Phillie: not sure
Hot Met: Cliff Floyd. They're still awful
Hot Expo(rted): Vazquez--come on! His face is way cuter than Armas Jr.'s.
Hot Marlin: Castillo, SI, SI, SI
My pick: Phillies--
NL West
Hot Giant: Cruz Jr. (oh God he is beautiful!)
Hot Dodger: hmmm--okay, Kevin Brown (Beltre is cute, but not that cute)
Hot Diamondback: Spivey, yes!
Hot Rockie: Preston Wilson (big and thick and chocolate)
Hot Padre: Brady Anderson (is he really on the team?)
Pick: The team with Barry Bonds on it!
NL Central
Hot Card: Pujols (I don't care who you picked)
Hot Stro: Yeah, maybe Assmus
Hot Red: Felipe Lopez (that Kearns's dudes face is uneven)
Hot Cub: Either Karros or O'Leary.
Hot Pirate: Aramis Ramirez (what a name!)
Hot Brewer: Alex Sanchez, yes.
Pick: Cardinals!

Accepted a demotion to AAA; bodybuilders can't be choosers!
Props to CITT for invoking sabermetric theory on the Cubs' likely rebound.

AL East:
Hot Yankee: ERICK ALMONTE QUE BONITO PAPI! To the Dominican Republic, please keep sending us your best and phynest!
Hot Red Sock: Nomar by far
Hot Blue Jay: Kelvim but of course Carlos Delgado is right there too (one of the best one-two black coffee combos in the league--serve it up!)
Hot Oriole: I can't even pretend I know or care
Hot Devil Ray (and I don't mean Saddam's stare): Kennedy, yep
My pick: The Yankees
AL West:
Hot Mariner: Pineiro, extremely hot Se(a)man...
Hot A: (Body): Tejada / (Face): _______
Hot Angel: Garrett Anderson (big head, though)
Hot Ranger: Alex Rodriguez (is there another?)
My pick: Mariners, though this is the most competitive division; the As and Angels could also go far
AL Central:
Hot Twin: Johan Santana--a cute team overall, though
Hot White Sock: Hard to say...I kind of agree with CITT on this one.
Hot Indian: Shane
Hot Tiger: Haven't a clue. Who's even on their team this year?
Hot Royal: Beltran (wiping away my slobber...)
Pick: Twins. They ought to be very good, and I wouldn't mind seeing them play the Cardinals again in the Series.

With all the tasty eye candy on the Yankees' roster (hello, Robin Ventura!), CITT picks Erick Almonte for his "Hot Yank"? Andy Pettitte could probably crush this twink with his thighs!

Feverdog: CITT was quite prescient with his bold pick of Erick Almonte. The kid is great-looking, but he's no twink! In fact, I can't decide if I like his face or body more.
I had lousy seats at the homopener yesterday but even from afar I gasped at the sight of Almonte's incredible gravity-defying butt. I miss Jeter, of course, but I sure am going to enjoy watching Almonte fill in for him.
I can't disagree with you on Robin Ventura's great looks or Andy Pettite's incredible thighs....
