It's been forever since I posted anything but I had to share this site with you guys. It's the pictures from the 2004 calendar by the French Rugby team Stade.

They are just unbelievably hot! Try to picture any American pro team putting out a calendar with a picture like the one named "October2" eek!

Good gawd, now I'm all hot and bothered. Every single picture is incredibly sexy. Out of all of them, I like the guy in front in October2 the best. His body hair is perfection.

There are some cool tattoos in the pictures too. I especially like the butt/hip/thigh tattoo on the guy in May2.

They even do full frontal. Check out "Bonus4", and Bonus2 with his peekaboo view just melts my monitor!

These guys are AMAZING! It's so hot to see guys with body hair -- no shaved chests, etc. The October 2 guy has one of the hottest treasure trails I've ever seen. Bonus frontals are great, too.

Holy F***ing S**t! I just went back to their main website and they have just posted a "Making of the Calendar" streaming video. It's about 3:15 minutes long and filmed entirely in the locker room. If you've ever had locker room fantasies, this is for you. Be sure to keep watching until about 2:45 minutes (not as if there isn't plenty to look at in the whole video). Again, try to imagine ANY American sports team doing anything remotely like this.

Yeah, OK, so all these guys are insanely HOT. And maybe this point means nothing, but am I the only one who is a little bit suspicious of the whole thing?? I mean, come on, a "professional" sports team where every single guy looks like a International Male model, they're all completely comfortable being filmed nude, they don't mind posing with other guys in suggestive or homo-erotic positions, and while the whole thing is basically marketed on the internet?

Hotlanta, I think there is an environment of nudity, roughhousing, play in rugby which is very open among players and it's a small step for them to do this photography. Also, I imagine it's wildly popular with the ladies as well. You can buy all sorts of this stuff at kiosks in France--postcards, calendars, magazines. The sexual attitudes are just different than we are normally exposed to. Now, if I could be the powder duster for the shots I'd be a happy man.

Chill out, dude. This is one of many European pro sports teams that has figured out that they can market their best-looking players with the players' approval. (And the earlier posting is right - they only pick the pretty ones for this beefcake stuff - there are lots of players on this team that are ugly as a mud fencepost) The relaxed European attitude toward nudity is evident here. Your point about being nude in a locker room = being willing to be nude on the net has nothing to do with this situation. These are all informed adults posing for professional shots done by a full camera crew. And this team (Stade) has been shooting and posting this sort of stuff on their official website for years. This is not some hidden camera locker room footage.

Just take a deep breath, Hotlanta, and relax. There are plenty of things in this world worth getting upset about -- this isn't one of them.

Now let's go back to enjoying the beefcake.

I really don't think Hotlanta is worked up about anything, just curious. And don't you think that professional athletes are in general a pretty good looking bunch of people--given they work on there bodies, have money for good healthcare, eat well, etc. As opposed to some other professions where the stress, long hours, sedantary(sp?) conditions lead to less fit bodies and in general less attractive people--I'll not name a profession for fear of causing all sorts of responses. But for example, are the people playing the sport usually better looking than the ones reporting the sport?

And by the way, I'm nude all the time, have no problen with it. And for the right price, I'd pose for anything. It is after all just my body and I live to have no regrets.

I can't imagine the Atlanta Braves or even Manchester United having a nude calendar and making it basically, the focal point of their organization. Maybe the owners of Stade Francais purposefully recruit the best looking rugby players in Europe...?....

I mean, its not just that they are really marketing their calendar (probably to make beaucoup money), but they even offer streaming video of the making of the calendar. Plus did you see the bottom two sections on the main page?? They offer a chat room and an anonymous e-mail service. Isn't that a bit unusual for a professional sports team?

Unusual to Americans, yes. But I still don't know what you suspect them of being up to. You seem to be implying some hidden agenda, but don't state what it is.

The websites for major league baseball offer message boards, if not chat rooms, and you can sign up for an e-mail account with your team's name (e.g. Joe@phillies.com or something like that).

I just checked the websites for the Braves and the Phillies. I found a "fan forum", but no chat rooms or free e-mail service. The Stade Francais site icon shows a volumptuous girl asking (my French is sketchy) if you think she's a bimbo. To me that's unusual.

And I don't think this site is unusual for just Americans. Can anyone give us a link to any other team, in any sport, anywhere in the world where they market their players in nude photography?? (please someone prove me wrong) wink

Phillies (and other MLB clubs) do not have chat rooms, but they do have message boards, similar to this message board. And while they might not market their athletes with nude photography, there is this picture of Joe's boyfriend shirtless being marketed as free wallpaper on the Phillies website.

The Green Bay Packers have a calender with 12 players posing shirtless and flexing.

Then you've got the whole SI for Women swimsuit edition which has featured a variety of male athletes shirtless.

However, if they go any farther than that, they are typically not viewed well. I mean, didn't Pat Burrell get a lot of heat for his Penthouse interview when he talked about how having cheerleaders in baseball would be cool!?

I think it was somewhere here on Outsports that I found Scrumdown.com which post all sorts of pictures related to rugby players being naked, nude. it seems to be a thing with these men.

click "dieux du stade" from the same menu as the "making of..." and click the individual players. you'll see about 5 players at a time. click "suite" ("next") to see the rest.

they also have the video of when they as a group did a strip tease on a french show, the footage shows many men were very delighted to see them also

As for our French rugby studs, there's only the one video on their website about the making of the 2004 calendar. However there are other videos about the making of previous calendars, with some of the same players, naturally.

And as for the blurring of the French salami at 2:45, it's as crisp as a French fry on my download.

Not as hot as the first one, but definitely worth checking out. I've noticed they're showing a lot more wang in this year's "Making of" than in previous years. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
