Brees may be one of the few living American football players who ranks a special category, not only because of his extraordinary...gluteal endowment...but also due to his exceptional - one might even say phenomenal - throwing accuracy.

It's not just his tossing records but the shear precision and beauty of his technique as displayed in the linked video.

I might go out on a limb and say that the two might be connected. After all how many QBs have that kind of *ahem* ballast behind their passes.

Kidding aside, his compact weight surely affects the power in his passes, and the way that weight is proportioned surely affects his accuracy - literally topped off with a top-class analytical mind and mind-body coordination, otherwise known as intelligence, be it street-smarts or academic; and obvious dedication to his craft.

The man's an unusally prospicient combination of natural physics, brains and concentration.

I thought the same thing until I saw the video footage on NFL network that this was taken from. I melted in my chair. Mr. Brees is verrrrrrrrrrrry limber...... I'd love to spend some time with him..............

In this article, which is a thinly veiled advertisement, Brees talks about how he overcomes his height advantage as an NFL QB.

More importantly, in this video photoshoot of the same article, those baggy white shorts don't have a chance against those glutes when the trainer is standing behind him while he does these "aerial pushups".

Surprising that the trainer can even reach across those things later in the vid.

When they say they "grow 'em big in Texas", I don't think they realized how true that could be.

In that video, that Durkin trainer just can't keep his hands off Drew. At one point he almost grabbed his butt.

You'd think that in the shower he'd take the black stuff off his face . . .

In the video Brees seems to be putting on the eyeblack before the shoot, so it must be a deliberate part of the skit.

If like me you're rarely up late enough for Letterman, this video is nice.

Just watching Brees sit there gap-legged would have been worth suffering through the show.

He is just too cute. I like the way Drew's dressed too.

Necessity is the mother of invention. T-shirt on the outside of a longsleeve is to show the jersey while also protecting from the cold. Scarf tucked into the shirt prevents it from blowing away while not wearing an outercoat - again to show the jersey. The cap protects the head, which has a prominently receeding hairline, from the cold. Yes he could have worn a frumpy but hip skullcap but it apparently wouldn't be his style. The sexiest thing about him is his smile, with elegant misaligned teeth.
