I'm not voting for anyone. I'm too depressed since sweet Alexandre has been booted. :mad: I suddenly don't give a fig about the KOTH competition.

I had a bad feeling about this round: Alexandre trailed in the two previous rounds, and came back for victories. When he started with such fire in this round, I just knew it was going to end up bad.

Well, anyway, good luck to those still in the race.

The two remaining #1 seeds are both losing in the early going. Jeremy Bloom looks like he's finally getting a real challenge.

And Joey H. is only ahead by one. His fan club must be nervous!

Oh no! Joey has fallen behind Cohen by one vote. Grrrrrr.

And it's shocking to me that Ausmus is kicking Carr's ass at the moment.

And the resuls from England must be coming in first because Owen is out to a big early lead over Boller.

The toughest choice for me was Michalak vs. Bloom.

But it's still early...

MDB: I voted for Joey- mostly because of all your hard work. wink wink Also sentimentaly a big Brad A fan because he was supportive, caring and concerned for Billy Bean when he came out in his book 2+ years ago.

SEE, now here is ANOTHER reason to Vote Joey! In honor of MDB! If he loses then it's a slap in the face of our amazing competition organizer.

MDB will be happy to know that Ben Cohen's hairy chest caused me to vote for Joey Harrington.

No, I didn't vote. I actually think Joey is the cutest guy left in the competition ... but I can't bring myself to register a click for him.

I find most of these guys pretty boring. Well, a completely and unimaginably gorgeous kind of boring, but boring just the same.

I don't know. If there's a close contest, perhaps I'll cave to the drama and register a vote. But right now I'm excercising my right to abstain!

I really like Brad Ausmus. I'd make a full-out effort to campaign for him, but my support tends to be bad luck, so I'm just gonna leave it at that.

wait a second , i just realized that there are no swimmers to vote for in this round!!!

as a duly appointed representative for both lenny and marcus, we are petitioning the US district court for for hand recount of all submitted ballots!

i ask that you secure all previously voted ballots and bring them to palm beach county where the supervisor of election will dispense with a hand recount at noon today. we may also be asking for a temporary restraining order that suspends all voting until the "accurate" final 8 can be rightfully determined.

obviously this a vast "outsport conspiracy" against both the sport of swimmming and against its international governing body of the sport, fina.

we swimmers arent going to be railroaded by this obvious injustice mariner duck boy!!!

I have to agree with PewterPirate about Joey Harrington. To me, he is by far the "ugliest" left in the Final 8. I don't know how he is beating Ben Cohen. I am a curse though, since everyone I vote for loses. Maybe I should vote for Joey in the next round!? wink

About 3-1/2 hours remain and we got a record turnout with 92 voters.

It looks like another #1 seed will bite the dust as Ausmus should advance to his first Final Four representing the Midwest with his apparent vicotry over Carr.

Michael Owen appears to have locked up the Southeast title with a commanding lead over Kyle Boller.

In the highly publicized and contentious East region, which also included name calling, Joey Harrington continues to hold a slim 48-44 lead over Ben Cohen.

It's even tighter out West as Defending Champion and the last remaining #1 seed Jeremy Bloom leads by 2 votes over french stud Frederic Michalak 47-45.

I am surprised that Joey has gone as far as he has because I think he is hot as hell, but those other guys were hotter than he is...

I still haven't voted for Joey and probably will not vote for him unless he comes up against Brad Ausmus, who is highly overrated as well.
