The Cardinals fired the company hired five months ago to help the club secure private financing for a new ballpark after discovering one of its principals is named in a federal terrorism investigation.
According to federal documents, the Justice Department and other agencies are investigating Yaqub Mirza, an officer in Property Funding Group, the Washington firm that has been arranging financing for the new stadium.
