I'm surprised there are so many Colt fans. I'm a UT alumnus, as my handle suggests, yet Colt doesn't do it for me, especially this season when he tried to look more "mature" by growing (sparse) facial hair & letting his hair grow out. I'm sure he did it due to the media repeatedly saying last season that he looked like the Malcom in the Middle kid.

I have to agree with all the Colt McCoy lovers on here. Well hell--it's hard to knock any hot college guy in white football pants and a jockstrap outline. Yumm Eric Crouch or Leinhart or David Carr--my ultimate MAN!!!

Who knew there were so many ass lovers out there salivating over "VJL," I thought I was the only one that found it super HOT.

I went to UT in the early eighties and looking back now, UT has always had the hottest quarterbacks.

My heart fell for Shannon Kelley. It made my day if I had a daily Shannon sighting on campus that day. Sometimes he would breeze by super fast before I realized it was him. It was really good if I saw him before and took in an eyeful --from his hot blond hair, blue eyes, to that package of his, to his beautiful feet. I was really beside myself if he wore shorts that day. Don't ask me if i ever did a UTurn and followed his ass.....

A whole group of us would just hang out at the Union for the afternoon and do some necessary guy watching.

Not only does UT wear the compression shorts...So do the football players of Sam Houston State. You can tell which guys dress left or right.

Looks like a mix of compression shorts vs. jockstraps. Unfortunately I think jockstraps at UT are history. In 2010 they will begin wearing Nike's Pro Combat uniform whose base layer is a compression short with pads attached:

On a side note, I've wondered if UT's pants are really sheerer than other college teams; the Gator pants look just as sheer, especially when wet with sweat. I don't suppose anyone knows where one can obtain a pair or if anyone knows what UT will be doing with any surplus gear? The closest pant I can find is a similar Nike pant, but the back is three panels vs. the five in UT's.

Hopefully Nike will make the base layer optional? I guess one can hope. And yeah, I'm pretty sure some guys will still wear a jock, although might not be as visible. To think, Nike made some of the thinnest pants, now their backtracking; too bad.
As for other schools wearing thin pants (i.e Nike brand), see my other post under "White football pants ...."

If you click on the ProCombat link in my post above, and then the tab labeled "Base Layer" once at Nike's site, the tailbone and hip pads look to be attached to the compression short so I think Nike is pushing for its use over a jock.
