Is it common for wrestlers to get erections while wresling?
I seem to see alot of pictures that apear that the guy has an erection.

Maybe not a full-raging hardon, but a semi is definitely common. But I think it has less to do with the physical touching and groping, and more just with friction in general. I think if you're really into your match, as you should be if you got hundreds of folks watching, then you are much more concerned with the business at hand and not getting pinned, and not about the delightful sexual energy of being intimate with another man.

Chubby, yes, some, but not full on hard. Atleast I haven't seen one - well one of 2 that have looked like they might be boned up, but it's mostly a semi - or dude that are simply packing...

I was at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association champs this past weekend at Navy, and sat behind Jay Antonelli, a former Navy and USMC wrestler.

Any of you guys who scan the wrestling pages regularly able to find a good photo of him? I googled him, and found plenty of articles, but no good pics.

I tend to like the older, hairy guys with a combo of muscles and beef, but wrestlers (not to mention the singlets and those bulges) that I can't help but loving them.

Hey kids, the NCAA Wrestling Championships are this weekend.

If you get ESPNU, the semi-finals are being shown tonight at 7 PM I believe.

And tomorrow (SATURDAY), the finals will be shown live (so you'll get to see the full match instead of portions like they used to) on ESPN at 5 PM EST.

Something to look forward to:

Iowa's Mark Perry wrestling at the highly competitive weight class of 165 lb

Here in the 3-0 decision against Missouri's Tyrone Woodley to get into the NCAA final

And here in a match earlier in the season: a 13-2 dec. against Chris Stith of Virginia Tech

Loving that the wrestling came on right after tennis, now I'll never make it to the gym. When do the big boys wrestle?

This morning, at the Big Dance in St Louis, Jon Trenge said "Farewell" to wrestling. He had just won his last match ever, 11-1, to take 3rd place in the 197-lb weight class at Nationals. The ref had just raised his hand, to signify the victory.

Jon took off his wrestling shoes, and he took off those damned goggles, and he put them in the center of the mat, and he walked away.

This is the wrestler's farewell...

The 15,000 people in Savvis Center rose as one to give him a 5-minute standing ovation. Even the cynical airheads in the broadcast booths were in tears. A few of them even stopped talking.

He was a beautiful man and a beautiful wrestler, and he endured much; not always with grace, but always with passion.

I'll miss him.
