The finals of Real Pro Wrestling were Sunday afternoon on PAX-TV. sorry to report that forum favorite Tommy Rowlands lost to Daniel Cormier in the 96 kg - 211 lb finals... then apparently was patted/slapped on the butt by Cormier at the end of the match. Cormier was fined.

To see photos from all seven matches:

Surely the RPW can not survive if butt-slapping is illegal. biggrin.gif

It's a hallowed tradition in male sports worldwide.

An who wouldn't want to slap that

Surely this is obscene

BTW isn't this wrestlers' thread? Don't worry though  , I made the same "mistake" - I posted a track star's pictures in the soccer threat...

Yeah Tommy has some massive thighs, but when he sits or even stands next to others, one can tell just how massive and hot they are.

Yeah, very good series ChuckChuck. Didn't know about Trenge's detached retina, though I always thought there was a medical reason he was allowed to wear the goggles. He has almost made them become cool, and they are definitely his trademark.

He must be an inspiration for guys with similar problems who might think it could prevent a wrestling career.

Great tradition that - leaving your shoes on the mat to symbolize leaving the competition; leaving it all on the mat says it all about the respect these guys have for the sport, and all they've put into it, and maybe what it's done for them as a person.

And thanks to chuckchuck for the Jon Trenge pictures.

This is the first time I see him w/out those cool goggles he used to sport. I think he used to wear them becuase of an eye problem, like he needed glasses, but didn't know it was because of detached retinas.

Lets hope Trenge joins RPW smile.gif
chuckchuck
Jon Trenge is very protective of his eyes. In fact, he was disqualified twice this past year because he thought his opponent was "going for the eyes" -- in one case, he bodyslammed the opponent OFF the mat, in the other, he put up his arm and it hit the other guy (looked sort of like a punch, but wasn't).

I was stunned when he took off the goggles for some of the middle rounds at the NCAAs. We all thought he lost his mind. He was later quoted as saying something like, "If I kept wearing the goggles and lost, I'd always wonder if that's the reason I never won the title."

He was twice a NCAA finalist, losing both times --first to Cael Sanderson in 2002, and to Damion Hahn the following year. The Hahn loss was a heartbreaker; Trenge was ahead until Hahn got a takedown with only seconds left, edging ahead.

Trenge is one good-looking dude. I've sat near him in the stands and he has a handsome face. (He doesn't wear goggles or glasses off the mat.) Straps down, he has one of the most beautiful physiques I've seen on any wrestler at any weight. Broad, square shoulders... massive, rounded pecs with tiny nipples... a ribbed washboard stomach... and powerful arms.

I too wish he were in Real Pro Wrestling -- he would definitely look good in trunks. ;-)

Upsetting news this morning about Jon Trenge...

He and his roommate, fellow Lehigh wrestler Matt Ciasulli, were attacked in their home this weekend. The story is from the Morning Call newspaper in Allentown, PA

http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-b7_4as...l-newslocal-hed

Two arrested after fight injured Lehigh wrestler, police say
Men accused of hitting college senior with history of eye trouble.

By Manuel Gamiz Jr.
Of The Morning Call

Two 20-year-old men were arrested Friday for allegedly fighting with two Lehigh University wrestlers on May 11 in south Bethlehem, leaving one with nerve damage to his right eye, police said.

Bethlehem police said Joe Creazzo, of 1612 Mitman Road, Forks Township, and Jared Casciole, of 102 S. 22nd St., Wilson, were arrested Friday night for assaulting Jonathan Trenge, 23, a senior at Lehigh who was recently named to the 2005 National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team.

Police said Creazzo, Casciole and Brad Piperata, 19, went to Trenge's home at 526 Montclair Ave. about midnight May 11 and forced open the front door.

They were asked several times by Trenge and his roommate Matt Ciasulli, 21, who also wrestles at Lehigh, to leave, and they eventually did, police said. Witnesses told police that Creazzo was upset with Ciasulli about a woman they both had dated, police said.

About 30 minutes later the three men returned, and Creazzo and Casciole went upstairs where Trenge and Ciasulli were, police said.

Trenge managed to get them to leave and was walking them down the stairs when Casciole punched him in the side of the head, police said. Trenge got Casciole in a headlock, but then Creazzo began punching Trenge in the head so he would release Casciole, police said.

Trenge let go of the headlock, but Casciole punched him one last time in the head before the men fled outside, police said. As he left, Creazzo threw beer bottles and a bar stool at the house, police said.

Police said Trenge went to the hospital with a bruised eye and nerve damage that caused his right pupil not to dilate.

Trenge has a history of eye problems, and Creazzo and Casciole were aware of that, police said. Police said Trenge had a separated and reattached right retina and a punch to his face could damage his eyes further.

During his collegiate wrestling career, which ended this year, doctors advised Trenge to stop wrestling or risk blindness. Instead, Trenge wrestled with protective headgear and goggles and became the school's all-time leader in victories with 133, according to Lehigh's Web site.

Police said they did not charge Piperata because he wasn't involved in the fight.

Creazzo and Casciole were arraigned by District Judge Sandra Zemgulis on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and burglary. Creazzo also is charged his harassment.

Both were sent to Northampton County Prison under $10,000 bail.

That they should deliberately target his eye knowing his medical history is pathetic, almost regardless of the circumstances. But considering that Trenge seemed to be trying to calm the situation, it is especially sad.

On a happier note: Why I love greco-roman:

Most of the action is above the butt and below the pit

Deeply-dimpled thighs are never covered

Heavy-lifters get their heads stuck in bulging pits

You can play helicopter, and be the shaft or the blade

Bulge below..

...and 'panty-line' above

The pause that refreshes

Like soccer, sometimes you have to protect the package

Shaven heads are slippery - can't grab them

Butt on butt - different outline, both hot

An update on Jon Trenge posted at The Mat.com college forum. This sounds more encouraging. I assume the poster is connected with Lehigh U where Jon wrestled...

http://thematforums.com/myforum/index.php?..._id=3&pagenum=2

I spoke with Jon 5/13 and yesterday and he reports that the vision in the injured eye has returned to 20/70, hopefully on the way back to the original 20/30. He's recovered sufficiently to take a delayed Break (he's already started grad school as many of you know during 2nd semester) and landed in Daytona Beach yesterday.

For the record he and Matt have worked things out, though they won't share the same apt anymore. Matt did attempt to get one of the attackers off Jon as the 3 of them took their shots at him. It was obviously mayhem; Easton can be a tough town and is not a frequent contributor of recruits to Lehigh despite considerable talent, for anyone following the team roster over the years. I've followed the team for over three decades and fights involving any of these guys are quite rare other than some normal practice tiffs.

For those who follow due process, the Easton guys are already out on bail since only 10% is required for that. The District Attorney's Office will initiate criminal proceedings (break-in and assault obviously sufficient grounds) and civil proceedings, if any, would be up to Jon. Thanks for many of the good wishes sent Jon's way; while none of us are perfect Jon's been one heckuvan asset to the school and will continue to be. Watching him handle young kids at local clinics is always a treat. D. Diehl

Another body beautiful from Real Pro Wrestling, Brandon Eggum, who competed for the Minnesota Freeze at 185 lbs. (He was an All-American at University of Minnesota -- lost to Cael Sanderson for the NCAA title)

Another great RPW pictures post, chuckchuck smile.gif And thanks on the Jon Trenge update. Speaking of him and RPW, I think he would look best in the team Hammers' grey shorts. I think those are the best trunks.

And welcome to Outsports, DH!!! smile.gif

I've been a fan of your wrestling photos for a long time.

Sterlingman,

Definitely agree -- the Pennsylvania Hammer's silver/grey trunks are tailor-made for Trenge. And he has the physique that would put a stop to the talk on the official Real Pro Wrestling forums complaining about the shirtless look. ;-)

(Tho he looks good in a singlet too.)

I haven't heard any more about how Jon is doing after his attack. I hope he's recovering. In addition to looking good, he's a nice guy and an incredibly talented wrestler.
