I'm not a wrestler, just an envious admirer of the guys who do, but I'll give my answers to your questions:

do the guys wear anything under their singlets?

I suspect almost all do, since it's usually obvious through the singlet.

do guys really get hard when wrestling?

I think some do, again based on what's visible through the singlets

when it looks like a guys got a couple of fingers pressing against a guy's hole, is that what is really happening?

Obviously not, unless the singlet is of poor quality or damaged in the appropriate area.

these pix are always so amazing but i'm trying to separate reality from my overly active fantasy!

Good idea! But fantasies can be fun in their place. As long as you keep your hands inside the car and your restrainer in place, enjoy the rollercoaster ride. smile.gif

thanks sportinlife! so do the rules allow a wrestler's hands to go anywhere during the match--crotch, butt, etc?

There are supposedly big differences between folkstyle (mostly practiced in the USA) and freestyle (international), and both differ from greco-roman in that it does not allow use of (or attacking) the legs. But generally the rules for what wrestlers can, or cannot, do to each other are probably pretty much the same.

To start, here is a quick summary of the two major styles: freestyle and greco-roman.

From there you can get details on illegal holds from this pdf file:

See Article 59 page 43 for the rules that probably most concern you.
dstain
sportinlife you are AWESOME! great info on both sites. thanks very much!

Sterlingman,

Definitely agree -- the Pennsylvania Hammer's silver/grey trunks are tailor-made for Trenge. And he has the physique that would put a stop to the talk on the official Real Pro Wrestling forums complaining about the shirtless look. ;-)

(Tho he looks good in a singlet too.)

I haven't heard any more about how Jon is doing after his attack. I hope he's recovering. In addition to looking good, he's a nice guy and an incredibly talented wrestler.

chuckchuck
What are they saying? About RPW wrestlers being topless. I hope they, the officials, don't start telling them hot jocks to wear something on top.

One of the reasons I love team Hammers' shorts also is because the color is perfect to bulge sportage smile.gif It's also a cool looking gear, my favorite actually in RPW

I agree that Jon looked hot in a singlet. I wasn't a fan of Lehigh's all white singlet, but I became a fan soon after seen alot of that university's hotties - some posted here at OS

Please let us know when you hear about how Jon is doing regarding the attack.

QUOTE
Love that silver/blue singlet - the hottie wearing is hot too. Same does for the one in the oranage/white singlet smile.gif

I'm with sportinlife,

Not a wrestler (don't even like the sport), but I'm a fan of the jocks, gear and bulges.

I also agree with sportinlife's answers.

I can't say that I've been, in either pictures or videos, wrestlers not wearing anything under their singlets. It's usually a jockstrap or in the case of Damion Hahn, when he wrestled in college, he used to wear a WWE-like trunks.

Regarding the thing about wrestlers placing fingers near an opponent's hole, like in this picture posted by sportinlife, I remember reading on ESPS something ago that it's known as "dinking" or something like that.
sportinlife
My pleasure dstain.

Sterlingman, do you have any more info on where that term "drinking" comes from? That sure doesn't sound like a straight thing.

As snagglepuss might have said "I think this requires some serious investimagating."

I know Howard Stern had a "Weakest Dink" contest sometime ago, but that was about something else. That's the only "dink" I know. I only learned of "wrestling dinks" after readind the ESPN story. And doing an UrbanDictionary search of "dink" doesn't bring up anything related to wrestling.

Must find out more about this "dink" business...

Here's what the ESPN story said: "Dinking 'is when the finger is placed in or about the rectum area to distract the other (wrestler),...'"

Link to ESPN/Outside The Lines story (scrowl to the bottom of the page, to Hilton Head H.S.)
dstain
dinking is awesome! and could be used as a distraction technique in non-wrestling situations as well! smile.gif

And after one exception that proves the rule...

Lehigh's Tristan Boyd submits to Phillip Simpson
Oh my! For shame that Lehigh hottie submitting sad.gif Though looking at his opponent, I don't blame him either for submitting biggrin.gif

That Marine in red is one of my favorites. I can't remember his name at the moment, I think it's Josh/Jake something, but love him smile.gif That blue is not only beautifu indeed...love blue singlet bulges - especially when the gear is sweaty.

Nice "dinking" pictures, sportinlife Liked this one

Sterlingman,

On some forums, there's a good number of posts at various wrestling forums, complaining about the shirtless look as being "gay" (imagine that) and asking for singlets or Under Armor shirts.

There is historical presidence for wrestling stripped to the waist. Many high school and college wrestlers competed that way until it was outlawed by the NCAA 40 years ago. And, of course, before that, the Greeks in ancient times... ;-)

I think the guys who created Real Pro Wrestling will stick to the trunks/no shirt look. According to their website, the wrestlers wanted to compete that way. If you've got it, flaunt it.

So I guess it's only the beer-bellied homophobic closet cases on the sidelines who are getting squeamish. biggrin.gif

Why would any red blooded American want to cover up this, gay or str8ght?

I remember reading at RPW's forum befor the show started that the wrestlers prefer the topless/bikeshorts look, but can't remember why. I think it was in part because it was easier to slip out of a hold due to the sweat or something like that.

I think this will be a tough one for me. I like the topless/bikeshorts look, but I also like singlets. And the idea of UA gear sounds interesting too.

I posted some caps of Lehigh hotties in an Under Armour gear looking gear on http://66.241.240.127/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=000747;p=9#000438\"]page 9://http://66.241.240.127/cgi-bin/ultim...000438\"]page 9://http://66.241.240.127/cgi-bin/ultim...000438\"]page 9 Speaking of which.... Sterlingman,

What I meant was that I was able to visit that Russian wrestler's site, open his pix, right click on them and open them in a small window, then right click on them and save the ones I liked in my pictures folder, for stroking and viewing pleasure.

Oh I thought you meant something else.

I see what you did. You right-clicked on the thumnail, selected "Open in new window" and them saved the picture.

Yeah when I clicked on the thumnails, a window popped-up with the photo, but I wasn't able to right-click over it.

Thanks for the trick MPetrelis! smile.gif

BTW thanks for the link to the Alexander's Yahoo! group, chuckchuck smile.gif

Speeking of wrestlers. Do you remember the WCW wrestler named STING? He is a born again Christian who was discovered in the Christian strongman group THE POWER TEAM. STING said that he never compromised his Christian principles when he wrestled in the WCW, but admits that he had hot female groupies suck his dick after every match.

Yep, it's definitely Garrett Lowney, two-time US Olympian in 2000 and 2004 (won bronze in Sydney). Here's Garrett showing off his Olympian form in the recently completed Real Pro Wrestling:
