Is anyone watching the new show on ABC called "Eyes"? It stars Tim Daly.
I haven't watched it yet but have heard good reviews from a few of my friends. In fact, a friend just told me they introduced a gay character on the show last night. Seems the male FBI agent asked one of the male detectives out to dinner as a date and he accepted the date. Hmmm... will have to watch now to see if this relationship blossoms.

I work Wednesday nights but I record the entire ABC lineup (Lost, Alias, Eyes). Eyes has been terrific fun. Unfortunately, the ratings apparently haven't lived up to expectations so I don't think it will return.

I watch the show and it's growing on me. I like the somewhat clever writing and Tim Daly delivers it well.
The gay character was in the show from the very start, so he wasn't just introduced. He's this black guy who's like the right hand man to Daly's character. You know what's weird, this black guy has a nice bod and all, but I'm not a big fan of the face. But so far he's got all the hotties as boyfriends. In the first show, he was helping an ex-boyfriend who was this total hottie. And now in last night's episode, he meets this FBI guy who is also hot. Some guys have all the luck.
By the way, the thing that's really bugging me about this show is that I watched the first episode and there's this hot actor, Eric Mabius, who plays the resident stud. Well, at the end of the first episode, he gets shot in the head (or at least the neck) by a co-worker who turns out is a mole for a competitor. Well, now he's back in the show and looks totally fine, and there's not explanation of how he survived that shot?? It's so frustrating! Did he move his neck quickly and escaped harm? Did he just get his ear nicked? I can't believe the co-worker is such a bad shot. If anyone can fill me in on this matter, that'll be great, thanks!

I've never watched the show, but I've heard good things about it. I was flipping last night, though, and realized that one of the main characters is someone I went to school with when I first moved to New York. Her name is Natalie Zea and I think her character's name is Trish, maybe? She looks like a young Jane Seymour.
Anyway, I was happy to see her continue to do well. She's been on "Passions" and "The Shield" also. She's a really sweet, very funny person. Yay Natalie!

That happened in the pilot episode. Once the pilot is completed the network executives watch and offer some ideas (demands) in order for them to pick up the show. In this case the producers had every intention of killing him off but the network wanted the character back. So the prodecers had to scramble as to how to bring him back.
Anyway it was explained in the second episode that she shot him and purposely nicked his ear to coerce him into being her eyes and ears for certain things.
I was kind of bummed they brought him back because I was so shocked when they "offed" him the week before. But I enjoy the show enough that it's okay.

Thanks George. Yeah, I read an article saying that his character was supposed to be just a guest shot but he tracked so well with test audiences that the producers brought him back. Um, such a no brainer. A hot tight-clothes wearing actor who shows his abs in the first episode and lets a woman stick her hand down his pants, of course he's going to be popular! Duh.
But yeah, it was such a shock when they offed him and it would have been dramatic. I'm sure they could have brought in another hot stud for the stud factor in the show. But since I do think he's hot, I don't mind that he's back. I just don't think the explanation of how he's back makes sense. OK, so you want to nick his ear, the sound of the gun shot alone so close to his ear would definitely have caused hearing problems. Television, where's reality when you need it?

Thanks for the explanation George_Twinsfan. I missed the second episode and wondered what was going on. I just explained it by convincing myself he is a robot. Now I know. That pilot episode was fantastic. The last two didn't have as much punch but I'm glad Eric Mabius is back. It was sad to think he left the L Word for a one-episode gig.
And for those of you who think Eric is hott in his tight clothes, but do not watch the L Word, wait for the LW repeats because he has an ass shot early in the season that is fanny-tastic! eek!

Sadly my intuitive powers were working again. Eyes didn't make the fall schedule. And yet ABC renewed the stupity that is The Bachelor (or Supernanny, George Lopez, According to Jim!) Not sure if ABC will burn off the remaining episodes in the summer.

I have a friend who works for ABC and I knew it was being cancelled before the official announcement. I didn't watch, but I heard it was pretty good ... too bad and a shame for Natalie! But she looks like a young Jane Seymour. There will be more work in her future.

I think I'll say that Natalie looks like a young Jane Seymour one more time, just in case you guys didn't get it the first two times around.
Sorry.

I heard somewhere that this girl Natalie on this show looks like a young Jane Seymour. I can't quite put my finger on where I heard it... wink

She really is! She's stunning! I've often said the same thing.

Which one was Natalie again? Too bad, I kind of liked this show. But at least Grey Anatomy's back! Whoo-hoo!

Her background on the stage includes parts in Measure for Measure, for the Women's Shakespeare Company, Steps for Raw Space New York, and Off-Broadway productions of The Three Sisters, The Lights and A Midsummer Night's Dream for AMDA Studio.
Sounds really impressive, right? It's a little fluffed up for the public ... I was in "Three Sisters" and "Midsummer" with her!

But she's doing very well.
