Does anyone recognize the songs used in the Revlon commercial with Julianne Moore and Jaime Kidd; it goes something like, "Bellisimo mon amour..."

And also the great song in the Mercedes commercial about your picture on the wall. Any ideas?

What are the songs in 1) The Revlon commercial with Julianne Moore and Jamie Kidd, with words like "Bellisimo, mon amour..." and 2) The Mercedes commercial, early on in the new campaign, about having "your picture on the wall", soft, female voice with a little hoarseness in the sound.

shore, there are certain commercial songs that i really enjoy as well and I try to find the names of them. I'm not familiar with either commercial you mention here, but I'll keep a closer eye out for them.

In Japan, Commercials play a huge part in selling singles. Top pop star Ayumi Hamasaki's singles are almost always tied to a commercial.

It's fun to hear old songs used in TV commercials. Like when Volkswagen used ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky" for their convertible ad. It made me go out & buy an ELO compilation cd.
That car commecial that used Styx's "Mr. Roboto" wsa hilarious. And last year The Gap resurrected an updated version of Seals & Crofts' 70's hit "Summer Breeze" for one of the best re-make singles of the year.

What I don't like is when they change the lyrics of the song to match the product they are selling.

Shore, unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to those Revlon ads and I don't remember the song being that memorable.

But speaking of interesting commercial songs, anyone hear the song played for the Banana Republic commercials that only seem to play during the airing of "Project Runway" on Bravo. It's really moving. It's this male singer and it's a very slow-moving, acoustic performance. He's singing to the background of two couples getting dressed for what seems like a romantic trip. The words goes something like "Did you know? When you meet someone. That she'll be the one. Did you know? And I wonder to myself. I wonder to myself if you're beautiful. On the inside."

See, I can't get the song out of my head. I love it though. I wish I knew who the singer is.

I believe I first heard this song when the group/artist known as Mandalay recorded it. I guess the Manadlay version falls under the electronic music category.
