Oooh! I like this. It's...itchy. Then it goes all squirmles and rumpy and digital hiccups. And the breakdown is absolutely - and this is
not a word I toss around casually -
fierce. This must sound incredible in a big room!
I think I still prefer the Braxe & Falke, though - it has that rollerdisco glamour-vibe. You know - that tackygrubby sparkliness. It's a mix that's hip enough to get away with a Members Only jacket.
You have any other suggestions, Boltergeist?

While the rollerdisco is good for me, deep down at the heart of it all, I'm more of a "Don't f**k with me fellas, this ain't my first time at the rodeo" type when it comes down to how I like my remixes. X-press 2 kinda channels that swagger with her earlier other huge song "Milkshake"
If you're not that familiar with the Scumfrog remixers go to that L-word and just do a search with Scumfrog, they've put out some goodies over the last few years
Kylie - Love At First Sight (the first I had ever heard of them)

My obsession, “Chris Young” by Chris Young.
Also, in honor of my new TDI Jetta, whom i named Uli after Uli on Project Runway….The Uli Playlist featuring new and old songs from Nena, Kim Wilde, 2raumwohnung, Rosenstolz, Peter Schilling, Grauzone, Tokio Hotel, Ute Lemper and Falco (although he was Austrian, but eh, close enough)
A bunch of new dance tunes: “Faith” by Leana, “Craving” by Amuka, “Love Kills” – a remixed Freddie Mercury!, “I Will” – Dolce, “Raindrops” – Stunt, “Kiss The Sky” Danielle Bollinger, "Love's The Only Drug" - Ultra Nate, U&UR Hand (Bimbo Jones Mix) - P!nk, and “Turn It Up (Oakenfold remix) – Paris Hilton!
And I like a mash-up of overplayed Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” and Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and my favorite mash of the moment, "Over the Confluence of Giants" which mashes "Mama's Room" Under The Influence of Giants, "This is not America" by Bowie, Steely Dan's "Do It Again" and Queen, Steve Miller & Common.

Kaskade's Love Mysterious, especially the 9th track, "Sorry" (the box is mis-labeled, so it may become something of a collector's item). "Sorry" is probably the best thing I've heard in 5 years. I can play it 4 times in the truck on the way to the train station in the morning.

I am a huge Robbie Williams fan and am listening to his new cd, Rudebox, for the first time right now. I like him that much - I bought it sight unseen (sound unheard?) - which you pretty much have to do if you like Robbie in the States anyway.
As much as I love him, I don't get the title track, which is the first song on the cd. It's terrible. I don't mind when he 'raps' in songs, but a full song of rapping with what sounds like an attempt to recreate the rap sounds of 1981. Uh, no.
Second song is okay. He worked with a lot of cool producers, including William Orbit and the Pet Shop Boys, so I'm hoping it gets dancier ...

For the last few weeks, the same thing's been running through my head.So call the neighbor kids with trashcan lids and buckets on their heads,
I'm telling you we're gonna need a little help tonight.
So hey man, check this out
Downtown's a riot and something's spreading through the crowd.
Try channel 9, I'm pretty sure
They're headed straight for this part of town.
I can't be certain but I swear I heard them just outside.
There's no way that this is real, so count me in.
So grab something sharp, find some cover,
Kill the lights and nail the back door shut.
This isn't funny anymore.
Oh no. This means war.
Don't take this the wrong way,
But I'd much rather choke and die
Than sit alone and fall without a fight.
And there she was, glaring,
Through olive eyes and chalk-white skin.
I want you to know that I won't be holding back tonight.
She stole my heart, and I'll be taking hers with a lawn dart now.
But look at the bright side, it's not like she had one there to start.
And something tells me, it's going to be a long night.
So call the neighbor kids with trashcan lids and buckets on their heads.
'Cause I'm telling you we're gonna need a little help tonight.

The other day my iPod churned up T.Rex's "Rabbit Fighter." Its opening lines caught my ears by eerily echoing the Haggard scandal:
Shady politician in my bed
Tying bolts of lightning to his head But who knows what Marc Bolan really meant?
Shady politician in my bed
Tying bolts of lightning to his head
Call me Rabbit Fighter you know its true
'Cos babe I'll Rabbit fight all over you
Tramp King of the city, he's my friend
Moondog's just a prophet to the end
Call me Rabbit Fighter you know it's true
'Cos babe I'll Rabbit fight all over you... Hey!
I saw a dude unscrewed and badly burned
Laughing
'Cos he'd gotten what he'd earned
Call me Rabbit Fighter you know its true
'Cos babe I'll Rabbit fight all over you
Call me Rabbit Fighter

That's Hot.
Woo Hoo! I just got an email today informing me that I have a Meet & Greet scheduled with Dierks Bentley when he is in town next Friday night at the Everett Events Center. Yeah, baby. The guy is a STUD. Happy Thanksgiving indeed.
"Every mile a memory..."
On my Ipod:
Dierks Bentley's "Long Trip Alone" album - All tracks
Fantasia - "Hood Boy". I like this one loud. the horn sampling is throwback to Motown.
Guilty pleasure: Hilary Duff's latest: "Play with Fire (Richard Vision Mix)" This song is hot! They played it in Philly this weekend while some of us were groovin' on the dance floor. Hot.
I also love the remixes of P!nk's "U & UR Hand".
While in Cuernavava Mexico a couple of weeks ago, I heard these artist & purchased their cd's:
David Bisbal: "Premonicion" - All Tracks - Very Ricky Martin-isn
Belinda: "Ni Freud Ni Tu Mama" - This song sounds like something P!nk would record. They were blasting this song in all the stalls while I was shoppingand the video wsa played a lot on the Spanish music channel.
Gloria Trevi: "Todos Me Miran" - Gayest song of the year. The video features a drag queen who I think transforms in La Gloria Trevi. A blatant ripoff/generous sampling of "I Will Survive" runs throughout the song.
Belanova: "Dulce Beat" - All Tracks. A wonderful album to listen to while driving, or just playing in the background.
And two companies are using tracks from one of my favorite cd's of the year: "The Mating Game" by Bitter:Sweet. Korbel Champagne's is using "Dirty Laundy" and another company (I can't remember which one) is using "Take 2 Blue".
And I just purchased Chris Daugtry's "Daughtry" but haven't really listened to it yet.

I was bored this weekend and had some time to"record" on my laptop some unreleased Kylie tracks. "I Know", "Lovin' You (Ellectrika Radio Remix)", "On the Up", "So High", "Feels So Good" and "Trippin' Me Up". I love "Trippin' Me Up" especially the Ellectrika remix. Here's a clip of Fantasia in the studio with Midi Mafia. She performs about a minute and a half of "Broke" and almost the entire song of "When I See You". I love "Broke" and it's throwback to old school R&B sound channeling Aretha & "Think" in one part of the song. Loud & funky. As she says in the clip, you can't help but groove to that sh*t! Too bad the song is not scheduled to be a track on her new cd. Hopefully it will be on the enhanced version of the cd. I also like "When I See You". It's more contemporary and cross over friendly than the first single, "Hood Boy". HB samples The Supremes' "The Happening".
The video of her latest single "Hood Boy" premiered on BET tonight.
Fantasia in the studio with Midi Mafia And fyiw, I think the cover of her new cd is fab-u-lous.

Janiva Magness' blues CD "Do I Move You?" and Bonnie Raitt's "Souls Alike." I'm a longtime Bonnie Raitt fan, and this CD just reminds me why I fell for her. Janiva Magness is a fairly new artist, and "Do I Move You?" is her second CD (I think.) She's a terrific singer with just the right blend of soul and sass.

Then I saw his video on VH1 Soul and he was lily white. I was like UNGH UNGH...GO AHEAD BLANQUITO!!! My friend said his first cd was even better than his latest one. I can't believe I've been sleepin on this boy for so long. You'd think I would have heard of him before being as though he's Alan Thicke's son. Move over Jon B. I'm glad R&B is givin him a chance.
