This is on my "Now" playlist for those interested. As usual. it's here, there and everywhere.
"Look" - Sebastien Tellier (the song that was used in "Ugly Betty" last week when Willie asks Betty to sit with her on the roof top after the party. I actually like a couple of songs off the cd "Sexuality".
"Crush On You" - Lulu Lewe. She's Sarah Connor's little sister. Don't know much about her, but I love thata the song sample's Giorgio Moroder's disco classic "The Chase" That's the only reason I like this song.
"What About Us" - John Barrowman. Out. Actor/Singer/Entertainer. This song is so damn catchy. It's written by Take That's Gary Barlow. The
video features a gay couple.
"The Loving Kind" - Girls Aloud. This is their latest song and it is written by the Pet Shop Boys. Girls Aloud should be a group you would think I would love, but I just don't think they are that great. Only a song here or there.
"The Winner Takes It All" - Kylie Minogue and Dannii Minogue. "Nuff Said.
"Funky Goes To Hollywood" - What happens when Frankie plays that funky music? You get this awesome mash-up.
"Free Free" and "Can't Stop The Disco" - Ami Suzuki. I don't know why. Hated her at first. Then she re-imaged herself, got signed to Avex, and now is a dance artist.
"Black Diamond" - Namie Amuro & Double. I totally forgot about this song, which came out in the summer. Basically it sounds like a Lady Gaga song, only sung in Japanese and by Namie.
Speaking of which: "Boys Boys Boys" - Lady Gaga. Because because because.
"Discotheque" : Elin Lanto's latest. That's 3 cool songs in a row for Elin.
"Reach Out" - Hilary Duff. Because "Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" is one of my favorite songs.
"Don't Want To Go To Bed Now" - Gabriella Cilmi. She's 17 now, but still sounds nothing like a teenager. Her cd "Lessons To Be Learned" is wonderful. Check it out if you can.
"Lay Your Love On Me". BWO. The campiest song of the year from the gayest, campiest group of the year. Of course they are from Sweden. BWO = Bodies Without Organs.
"Free" - Kate Ryan. From the cd of the same name. You would think she's from Sweden, but she's not. She's Belgian. Might be my co-favorite cd of the year.
And what's a Ducky ipod without Dierks. "Feel That Fire" - Dierks Bentley. I'm stoked because I got VIP tix to catch Dierks and Brad Paisley in concert next year in Washington.
And let's call this part the talent show winners time:
"Don't Call This Love" - Leon Jackson. He won X-Factor 4. It's basically England's version of Michael Buble. It took a couple of listens, but I like the cd. The first single is the title track. "When You Believe" was the perfect song to listen to as I watched President-elect Obama give his victory speech!
"Now That I'm Kneeling" - JPL. Another fabulous track from Jon Peter Lewis' "Break the Silence" cd. My other co-favorite cd of the year.
"Release Me" - Agnes. Swedish idol's latest cd. You can't beat the Swedes for pure pop.
"Changes" Will Young. Beautiful Song. I really like his latest cd called "Let It Go". It's very George Michael-ish.
"Nowe Szanse" - Sylwia Grzeszczak. Polish artist. I was looking for a song by Polish Idol Monika Brodka called "Niagra Falls" and came across Sylwia.
"Cheater Cheater" - Joey & Rory. I fell in love with them on "Can You Duet". They now star in the overstock.com commercials. Their debut cd "The Life Of A Song" is simple, pure and old school Country. Joey's voice is heavenly and she can bring a tear to any man's eye. Love it.
That's my list for this month.
