I think the hottest newcaster in Los Angeles is Phillip Palmer on Channel 7, the ABC affiliate. He hosts their morning show from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m. He's in his early 40's but still hot. I found these pictures of him competing in the Malibu Triathlon. Hope you like... Run, Phillip, Run

When Palmer was new to the LA market and was a weekend anchor and weekday feature reporter, he did a report from some home show on the "bedroom of the future." He was on the bed as this embodiment of the male interior designer caricature explained how the bedroom should be a sensual haven of romance, all the while stroking Palmer's thigh. When Palmer tossed it back to the studio, the anchors (at the time Christine Lund and Steve Wolford) offered this bit of banter:

Lund: Well, Phillip looks like he doesn't want to leave that bedroom.

Wolford: I don't think the designer will let him.

Phillip Palmer has always been sexy to me. The first time I saw his was about 12 years ago when making trips to Wichita before moving here. He was on a local station here at that time. Just before move here 10 years ago from Denver, Phillip moved to Denver and became a morning anchor. I thought damn the luck. Funny thing is I knew several years ago when visiting LA that Phillip had moved there. He did the complete opposite of what I did, I moved from LA to Denver.

There have been rumors here that the single (at least at that time if not still) Phillip was bi if not gay. Maybe Adam or Rob will be lucky enough to find out! wink

I'll leave him to Rob. Palmer always strikes me as rather Ted Baxter-ish dim. However, the rumors about the still single Palmer persist here in LA.

Thanks for letting me have Phillip all to myself. He may not be the brightest bulb, but he really does something for me. I don't think he's gay, but I guess when you're in your early forties and not married in LA, that starts the rumor mill going. I'll let everyone know when we're engaged.

We had a celebrity-spotting last night for you guys that are fans of CNN White House reporter, John King. Pat125, my friend Bryan, and I were eating at Hard Times Cafe in Alexandria, VA, last night when King came in with (I assume) his two kids. He came in just to pick up an order (although he had to wait on it awhile) and on his way out I noticed that he is an extremely tall man with huge hands. King definitely looks as handsome in person as he does on CNN.

The fraud scandal of Jack Abramoff, associated with the Tom Delay endictment has an interesting little sidenote.

Rehobeth Beach Lifeguard David Grosh a childhood friend of Michael Scanlon have made these otherwise boring hearings a tad spicy.

Keith Olbermann has a reporter from the Washington Post named Jim Vandehei on his show to talk about the Scooter Libby case. I couldn't find a decent picture of him, but Mr. Vandehei is quite a hot man IMO.

Lot's of cuter hosts than Vanderhei IMO.

But he dosen't deserve tossing out of the sack.

Did you also notice in the cheese making segment earlier in that episode where he was prepping the tank?

There was a part to the tank that he named the "sky hook." It appears to be a type of stopcock that needs to have lube put on it bedore it can be put in its assembly. Upon being instructed to put lube on the sky hook Mike Rowe looks directly into the camera and says, "Lube? Now you're talking my language, Ken. Lube is a substance we understand on the program." His expression was pregnant with meaning, and I'm now convinced he's family.
