The latest reference to him I found is this one dated January 2006: 2004 was a rough year for him since he left ESPN in a contract dispute then one of his four brothers, Sam was mudered by a whacko ex-con/boxer James Butler.

Never heard any "rumors" about him but Sam had been close to this boxer for ten years and invited him to move in with him after he took a punch at someone, on camera during an interview, and fell on hard times.

Surprised that Max Kellerman participated in a Yiddish youth camp for boys though he professed to be atheist.

All in all, quite an interesting guy, which sort of makes him more sexy in a weird kinda way.

BTW: brothers Sam and Max formed a rap duo which somehow managed to wrangle a contract with Columbia Records in 1994, which one blog described as the worst white rap this side of Vanilla Ice if I remember correctly.

If Sam looked anything like Max I wouldn't have minded seeing the two of them rapping to each other in saggers. The lower the better.

Finally there's an actor who might have the personality and look to play D. J. Pickett in the hopefully-to-made-this-time movie The Dreyfus Affair. But I don't think it's Cheadle. (Brad Pitt should play Dreyfus.)
