Anderson Cooper is the hottest guy on CNN. Sexy and smart -- looks great in those perfectly tailored suits. Wonder what he looks like without them? Grey bush, too?

I think Bill Hemmer is a hunk. I used to like Anderson Cooper but lately he looks like he's been losing weight. I'm not so into the gaunt look. Who the heck is Keith Olberman?!

I've been watching Anderson Cooper on CNN's hurricane coverage ... he is looking a bit more wispy, isn't he? But that just adds to his cuteness factor ... those impish eyes and that sexy hair. Yum. And he's smart, too.

Come on, aquaman, we've always known that straight women have different taste than gay men. I imagine that lesbians have different taste in women than straight men and I'm almost certain Gatorjamie would agree with me. Besides, with straight women, it's not just about the looks. Intelligence and personality are more defining characteristics. Married Lady will surely agree with me.

Women care plenty more about looks than they'll ever admit. And I think I can speak for many on this forum that will say that intelligence and personality are much more important than many think about gays. I think my boyfriend's hot, but I thought he was an awesome guy before I ever laid a kiss on him.....and he's easily my best friend now.

According to the Playgirl press release, they received more than 70,000 votes, with "more than 15% including write-in candidates, including other newsanchors, weathermen, and sports reporters." And they are considering doing polls to determine the sexiest weatherman and sports repoter. So if you've posted on the "Weather Channel Meteorologists--Hot or Not" thread (and you know who you are...) you may soon get a chance to make your vote count!!

On "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," he reminded viewers that he & his staff waged a negative campaign to get votes--and it worked--and recalled a previous poll of sexiest sportscaster (when he was still with ESPN) in which he came in third. Fortunately, he will not be posing nude.

Don't sweat it, illini, no offense taken! But my point is that straight women have different taste in men. What we find as attractive can be ugly to a woman and vice-versa. Just getting off the subject here a bit but one female friend once jokingly said that women don't want guys that are too handsome because then noone would look at her when they entered a room together! Go figure.

I don't know if it's a women vs. men thing, but just an individual choice.

Those two would be my picks.

Slightly off-topic, but bear with me. Heard a radio interview with 'Sports Illustrated' columnist Rick Reilly, which followed a discussion of the Olbermann pick (and a discussion of which local man would get votes...) Reilly said he wasn't surprised that approximately 70,000 people voted as the column that garned the most number of letters was one he wrote in 2000 mocking the Playboy poll for the sexiest sideline reporter. His column offered up a list of male sportscasters--and their attributes--who would be featured in a mythical Cosmo poll. Reilly said he still gets letters about that column--and opined that if Playgirl or Cosmo did a poll for hottest sports reporter, he'd be willing to promote it in 'SI.'

I don't watch Fox News, so I just discovered that former CNN guy Bill Hemmer works for them. When did that happen?

about 4-5 years ago. He had been an anchor of the CNN American Morning program for several years and it really wasn't going anywhere ratings wise.

He was removed as the anchor (replaced by John Roberts and Keiran Chetry eventually) and was offered the position of Chief White House correspondent. He considered that a demotion and left the network. he resurfaced a while later at FoxNews as a day time anchor. He's pretty. But bland bland bland.....

Unfortunately, they are all pretty bland!!

Give me some of the weathermen, national and local, the local newscasters, and some of the reporters in the field!
