That was a complete surprise to me. I had no idea that they were seeing each other. But then, Kenny's never been one to publicly discuss his relationships.


I'm sure many of us on the board frequently want to ask the same thing.

I was about to put a new topic here about the same thing MDB!! WTF!!!

I have heard for years that Kenny is as gay as a pink triangle dipped in rainbow paint!! Oh, and that Renee is so butch. I bet this is one of those cover-up marriages just to get the pressure off of them. You know like that "rainbow racing fellow" He hasn't gotten remarried since the divorce but just you wait.

Even KZLA, the local country station that normally leads the unthinking cheering for anything a "new country" performer does, questioned this marriage, positing that Kenny Chesney will now be guaranteed the lion's share of the attention at the coming ACMs (or is it the CMAs??) at a time when his sales are down and other "hot" men--Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, etc--could draw some of the spotlight away from him.

I totally agree that he is a total MO. I am not a country fan by any means, but I have seen a couple of his videos...is it just me or is his 'band' full of pretty boys???? wink (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) Go figure. Anyway, my roomie just told me about this union last night, and that was my exact reaction. WTF!!

Isn't he the guy who hangs out with Faith Hill's husband, Tim McGraw? Recall a story about them stealing a cops horse and riding off together.

Yeah, he and Tim McGraw started in the business together. And, I think they were friends prior to that. Now if Tim is a MO, I know a bar full of men who would attend that coming out party.

Most of the guys in the bar I work in think Kenny is a peter puffer. I personally think he and Uncle Kracker (sp?) have something going on.

Here's a little gossip from Nashville. I was in a gay bar not long ago here. I met a guy that claimed to be Ty's f'buddy. He actually gave me his phone number and said Ty would be in town the next weekend. He invited me to join them.

I never called him.

If he is the f'buddy of a closeted celebrity he is not exactly discreet.

I've heard from friends in Nashville that Ty was certainly not "closeted" in the real sense. I think Nashvegas does a better job at cover-ups than does Hollywood.

I've heard Alan Jackson is a big ol' mo too.

Sorry to bust everyone's bubble, but "mo" has been around for ever. As a kid in northern NJ twenty years ago, I remember the infamous "Motel on the Mountain" just over the border in NY. It was a motel with its name in huge letters up on the side of the moutain (similar to the Hollywood sign). Evidently there was a rumor that it was a place for assignations and some local hooligans knocked off a few letters to make it "Mo... on the Mountain". But I am sure that even they didn't make up the term.

There is a MO mountian in Hollywood. It's called Griffith park (sp?) There are MOs as far as the eye can see.

The local country station made quite a big deal of Renee Zellweger's absence from the Academy of Country Music Awards last night. According to their "on scene" reporter, after winning some award (Entertainer of the Year?) Kenny Chesney responded to questions about her by saying "something had come up" and that the two of them don't believe they have show up places together to prove they're in love.

They've been married less than two weeks, right?

Once again, my heart is broken that two fine young people like this can't make their obviously healthy relationship work.

One of the local tv stations--covering this split as news (go figure)--included a clip of Chesney talking to the press approximately a week after the wedding, telling the press "My life hasn't changed at all by being married." I guess that's what happens when the bride and groom never see each other.

However will the institution of marriage survive what heterosexuals (cough! cough!) do to it?
