The excellent gay softball tournament returns to The Desert next weekend, Jan. 17 thru 21. (Yes, weekends do begin on Thursday and end on Monday, especially when it's a three-dayer for MLK!) Be there or be square!

. . . if you're in the Palm Springs area THIS Sunday (1/13), you might want to check this out (from Friday's LA Times):

The Pepsi Softaball Challenge, involving such major league stars as Mike Piazza, Troy Glaus, Luis Gonzales, Jason Giambi (yum!), Jim Edmonds (quadruple/quintuple yum!) and Paul LoDuca will be played Sunday at noon at Big League Dreams in Cathedral City. . ."

By way of journalistic clarification, the "yum's" were mine.

If you can't catch it in person, it'll be televised March 30 on NBC.
