Interesting that they are once again back in Panama. Found this on the CBS site too, looks like they will have 4 tribes this time:

MEET THE NEW SURVIVORS
Stranded on an island off the coast of Panama, 16 strangers must live together and compete for the million-dollar prize. This time, the castaways will begin their competition as four tribes: older men, older women, younger men and younger women. At least one Survivor each week will be banished to a separate island miles away from camp. How will this change the game? Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others? Don’t miss a single episode of SURVIVOR: PANAMA--EXILE ISLAND, premiering Thursday, February 2 at 8 pm ET/PT, only on CBS.

Very interesting, they will start off in 4 different tribes....broken up by ages. Seems to be a slightly older group than usual, with nobody under 24. The average age of the 16 contestants is 35.2

So, with the tribes breaking down by age it will look like this:

The 'spoiler' sites were wrong about the first boot. I was disappointed to see the 'older' ladies get rid of the Lumber Jill. :-(

MDG - finally an Asian!

Which of these contestants is filling the "gay" slot?

I don't know that there are any gay ones, but not sure. Some of the older ladies were kinda butch-ish, and the Asian guy seemed to slightly have leaky tires.

I can tell that the chain smoker dude is going to be really annoying, I don't like him already.

I liked Cilie (sp?), the nurse. But she's gonna hafta do something about her wardrobe. "The Girls" were all over the place last night. It's going to be irritating watch the fuzzy grey spot all season long.

Can you believe they have to put a fuzzy spot over a slight reveal of a guy's buttcrack? What a joke.

Good show. Strange new concepts. Whose imagination was lacking when they named the tribes older/younger, men/women? Get some writers, for god's sake.

Apparently both cilie and lumber jill never watched much survivor before since they both made comments quickly alienating other tribe members. The final survivors will no doubt be from the younger women and the older men tribes. The younger men seem a bit ditzy and the older women are going to die in the elements....

I know that others probably thought up the idea before, but I want to take a little credit in my own little world about the idea of 4 tribes....

Although I thought a more interesting breakdown would have been to mix up the sexes in two of the tribes:

The oldest men/youngest women in a Daddy/Daughter role tribe

The oldest women/youngest men in an ode to Mrs. Robinson

Then leaving the middle ages of men and women in either a tribe of 8 and having to figure out who goes into the challenges OR in male/female tribes....

It would have been interesting to see that dynamic in this game, especially with the group of characters that they are seeming to have...

It was enjoyable to me, but nobody in the group really stood out to me except for Cherie.

Let me just say I'm one of the biggest Survivor fans of all time!!!!!

I think I'm totaly obesse with the show, I've watch every season... I tape every episode.....hell I even download all the Survivor themes and play it over and over again!!!!

I've always been afaird to apply for the show..even though I think I would be great at the mental part of the game but I dont know how I would handle the physical part of the show...

Now about this season...So far so good....This was one of the best 1st episode of any season...I was sad to see Tina go because she had a great back story I didnt want to see Cirie to go either because she's going to be great to watch...but what about Melinda????? the girl did nothing during the Immunity Challenge but stand there watching the other three what the hell is up with that crap!!!!!! and yet no mention of that at all from the other 3 on her tribe...

now that we know that the tribes are going to combine into 2 next week from the promos...it would of been cool to see Jeff bring out Tina and say she's back in the game...I wanted her to be in the game alot longer!!!! I feel bad for her...

So far the other contestants arent that bad either...Shane is going to be intresting to watch a potential villain I think..

I have to say Aras,Nick and Terry are HOT HOT HOT!!!!! too bad there isnt any gay guys this season...

this should be a fun season to watch...

My prediction I think Terry is going to be another Tom and he's going to win...

I was happy to see Melinda go..she was a total waste of space and she should of gotten voted off 1st instead of tina... but that being said I'm sure she is a wonderful person but she wouldnt had been to exciting to watch so 2 episodes of her was more then enough..

Cirie...is going to be fun to watch but I'm still mad she target Tina so I'm not over that yet..but I do beleive she's going to last long in the game I have a gut feeling about it so she's not the next to go on the tribe.

I have to say Shane..is going to make an intresting Villian...he's just going to be fun to watch thats just my opinion. The guy was going bonkers!!!! tonight he made alot of funny comments I mean gesh....4 days in and you already miss your kid...and then saying how he gots money he dont need this? I mean come on dude I know the withdrawls are killing you but man-up!!!

and then whats more funny is that people were convincing him to stay...I mean if someone wants to quit let there ass quit!!! he could be replace in there alliance.. so I didnt get that..

Now the other tribe..happy to see Dan and Terry are together and even more happy to see more scenes of Terry shirtless yum yum I love older guys!!!!

Bruce is going to be a character...he dont seem like a threat but a very likable guy so he could play low under the ray-dar if he wants and can slide by but I hope he doesnt.. I wish they would of show more of him on Exile Island...

who else....umm Bobby...did he even speak??? he's not in there alliance yet he still voted for melinda hmm intresting doesnt he know they will target him down the line??

I like Aras but it was stupid of him to just openly say he was voting for either Cirie or Melinda I mean come on dude...your that much of a wuss you want to be all nicey..nicey!!! please he went down in my book but atleast he's still cute.

Intresting episode lots of mix reactions from me...can't wait to see what happens next week.

I was pissed that they already changed them back into two tribes... I mean- what is up with that? So much for the interesting 4 tribes, etc, etc. Just a little bit dull...

yeah I know what you mean...but in interviews Jeff Probst said they already had plan for the tribes to turn into 2 on episode 2. They wanted the castaways to bond with each other really quickly in the short amount of time they would have as 4 tribes so they figure by putting them as tribes of same sex and same age brackets that would bond them very well and they wanted to see if those bonds would last once they get seperated and into different tribes

Damn, no comments that the producers put Shane in with the "older males" and he's only 34? Yikes, now that is youth-obsessed. I suddenly feel quite ancient. Shane is an idiot as is the other guy on his tribe who blurted out their alliance. Long-shot pick to go far is the fighter pilot. Ciri, or whatever her name is, I hope gets kicked off soon - I can't stand seeing her boobs hang down at her waist.

yeah I know what you mean...the producers put Cirie,Shane and Melinda in the "older people" tribe and there only in their early 30's! so I dont get why thats consider old to them.

but then again I'm only a very young 24yrs old...so what do I know about people in there 30's hehe (being sarcastic)

Well, sit back and enjoy the ride....Cirie, Shane and Aras are gonna be around for a while! There is no doubt that Shane is being edited to be THE character of this season. Folks will either LOVE or HATE him, or LOVE to HATE him. ;-)

Something about Melinda sorta reminded me of Tammy Fae?!

With regards to breaking up the 4-tribe format, it would get pretty tricky of they kept the 4-tribe format and the older ladies went back to TC and had to vote one out with only 3 of them there?!

The immunity challenge tonight -- I'm trying think of one that was more physical and more intense in ANY season. Right now I can't. If anybody can, say so, but I don't know.

Worst. Immunity. Challenge. Ever.

Poor Bruce. Isolation Island, again. But that guy's pretty whacked, too. 10% bacteria in the drinking water is 100% not good!

Maybe he's found the idol, but it doesn't appear to be so....

I thought it was a good episode

Cirie actually found something she's good at hehe that Immunity Challenge was perfect for her..sitting on all the models hehe...

That was a great challenge....I was surprise they voted Misty off...I mean come on Sally lost the freakin spear!!!!! they are starving for food and she hurt them bigtime yet they vote off Misty..... and Ruth Marie is a waste but I did felt bad for her Bobby totally man handle her..and you can tell she was just dejected after the lost...

Glad to see Terry,Dan,Nick and Austin are a allaince surprise they didnt fall for Misty's tatics

Shane is fun tv..I know most people hate him but he's fun to watch and next week he and danielle go at it...should be fun

I have to say hearing Aras yell to jeff that Misty was chokin him the dude is such a pussy!!! he's lost points in my eyes and its a damn shame because he's cute.

Bruce being on Exile Island again..tough break for him and I doubt he found the Immunity Idol....but its clear that Casaya needs him so if they vote him off they are fools..

next week should be fun

After three weeks I'm still having trouble getting into this season.

Does anyone else think Shane might be recovering from more than cigarettes? I know cigarettes are addicting but he looks like a big bag of heroin-addict to me.

I don't really have a favorite yet...I don't find any of them interesting or attractive. What's wrong with me?? I've never missed an episode of Survivor.

Sigh.

I'll give it one more week.

They really do seem to be stepping up the challenges. I found it quite erotic...well, except for the girl parts. People are lucky they didn't blow out a knee or something. I also found it laughable Ciri (sp?) found her niche -- whuppin white girls' butts.

Not sure I can remember someone being more un-subtly psycho than Shane. He's not long for this season.

I had the same problem,last season.I just started watching again,last night.I think I would have to kill Shane if I was there!

I was laughing my ass off when Ciree's teammates told her to sit on the skinny chicks during the challenge. She seemed to have fun doing it though.

Shane has been on my nerves since episode 1. Nice tantrum while sitting on the stump dude.

I have to disagree with whoever said there weren't any good looking guys on this season. I can't take my eyes off of Nick. I think he's gorgeous in a very rugged way.

You may be on to something GatorJ, I sorta got that same vibe from her. I'll have to check around with with friends to see if she might play softball or soccer in the leagues here, or better...if she's registered yet for the GG's.

I enjoyed the episode and loved that first Reward Challenge. Cirie (whatever her name is?!) cracked me up when she manhandled those skinny white chix (and boyz too!). lol

For those that check out the spoilers, they have been WAY off for the 2nd week this season so far. Interesting!

I liked the episode a lot, and I agree it was one of the most overtly physical immunity challenges ever. Cirie was a hoot. I was wishing one of the skinny white girls was wearing a wig so Cirie could snatch it off. I think both Bruce and Shane are crazy. Did anybody notice that weird yoga move or something that Aras put on one of the other men to snatch the pillow away?

Thank gawd she was wearing that long-sleeved shirt instead of that black tank top. I loves me my hooters, but didn't look forward to seeing hers fall out every. week. eek!

Oh, and that Shane is absolutely GROSS!!!

I know most of the public dont like Shane...but I think he's fun to watch..I've never seen anyone like him on Survivor the guy is going through so much mentally he's his own worst enemey and when he gets voted off its going to make for good tv..

Did anybody check out myspace.com...Shane.Aras and Courtney have there own pages and they been talking to each other which is a big no-no because survivors arent suppose to have any connect with other survivors during their season so I'm sure Mark Burnett and the other producers are going to catch on to this soon and tell them to stop.

Aras is a yoga instructor, listens to Nora Jones, and lists NO favorite actresses in his bio. I'm just sayin'.

And whereas all the other guys list among their favorite scents stuff like food, drink, women, or even "musty dive bars," Aras' favorite scent is lavendar. Hmmmmm.

And he listens to Nora Jones - Double Hmmm.
Did I mention that he likes lavendar and Nora Jones?

What if somebody was sent to Exile Island, did not find the hidden Immunity Idol, only he/she conjured up the right supplies to create what SEEMED to be the idol, took it back to camp with her/him and told the rest of the tribe they found the idol?!

I love Terry and Austin....Terry has that "Daddy" thing going that Tom had when he won a couple of Survivors ago....Austin is just downright CUTE. He flashes that smile and I melt.
I just wished more 46yo guys here in Fort Myers, Florida looked like Terry. Would make it a whole better place...

The Cliff Notes version...Terry was banished to Exile Island where he found the Ultimate Imunity Talisman. Ruth Marie was voted off the Island despite her being a part of the Terry/Dan/Austin alliance. Dan was the only person in the alliance who made an official deal with her. He pled her case to the others and didn't join them in voting for her at Tribal Council. He was able to stay in the alliance while at the same time keeping his promise to Ruth Marie.

I have to say this episode felt a little rush to me..it was over so quickly.

I'm happy to see the Opening Theme back after 2weeks of it not being shown...

Now I'll start with Casaya...they prove that you dont need team unity to win challenges because they dont have any and they are kicking ass!!!!

I like seeing Shane call out Danielle for being lazy because the dumb bitch is! but she has a point he should of called out Bob Dawg too...

Country is workin everyone's nerves and now we see next week she even piss of Bruce so I wouldnt be surprise if they turn there back on her and vote her off.

I'm disppointed in Bob Dawg he made alot of mistakes this week...and I think the editors set up his boot. he should of never "taken a dump" or "drop the deuce" because nobody was happy with that...he is seen as lazy...surprise surpise another black male contestant on Surviror is protray as lazy!!! gesh... they always have this bad sterotype on Survivor.

4 women have gone in a row..thats a survivor 1st....but I predict Bob Dawg will be the 1st male voted off of Exile Island.

Terry is the Man!!!! he is Tom Westman verison 2.0 I cant believe someone found the Idol so quickly I wonder how they are going to play it off now when someone goes to Exile Island? are they going to keep giving clues like fake clues now..or will they say someone found it...I doubt that.

seeing Ruth Marie go..wasnt a sad thing for me..he was another total waste like Melinda but like Melinda she seems like a sweet lady..but La Mina made the right decison..

now Terry I think made a minor mistake...Austin and Nick gave Terry total power last week when they voted of Misty... now I think Terry gave back his power to Nick and Austin because Sally will side with Nick and Austin and those 3 can team up against Dan and Terry if they wanted to now...if Ruth Marie was still there she would of team up with Dan and Terry and team up against Nick and Austin..so it will be intresting if Nick and Austin realize if they have power on there tribe like that.

and can I just say Terry is still f**kin hot!!!

Next week episode should be fun...Bruce vs Courtney and I predict Casaya will finally lose Immunity again.
