Has anyone else been watching this show? It's on right after the Real World Austin. I just happened to watch it and I think I've become obsessed with it.

The concept of the show is that all the people living in the house must dress, eat, talk, act, and live like they were in the 1970's. But the whole show is a competition- two people who acted the least 70's are up for elimination at the end of the episode. This week, the elimination challenge was a rousing game of....Operation! My favorite part was when one team was eating fondue- one guy slams his hat on the table and says, "This is a fon-don't!"

I saw the debut episode this past Tuesday night. I didn't like it much...I'll probably go back to my regular routine of watching the second half of NewsNight with Aaron Brown on CNN after my weekly viewing of The Real World Austin. smile.gif

Obviously , those of us who lived through that time would win, if we weren't too old to be on it! Now, make them ride a Big Wheel or Green Machine, play with Weebles or Stretch Armstrong, watch Romper Room or Electric Company or drink Tab!

Fun!

Didn't someone get kicked off for saying he wanted to get "Botox" after the show? Definitely not a 70's concept!

I caught this show Saturday afternoon in between watching the Nats' game. I instantly became addicted. Did anyone else thing the hostess (who, I'm sure has a name) is on some form of crack? She's got the crazy eye.

Real World Austin? What a load of self-indulgent crap. Which I will probably watch each week...

Yes. Geo, the first person eliminated, was nominated because he talked about how he wanted Botox. The other person, Andrew I think, was nominated for elimination because he told the other team from the basketball competition that they were "awesome" and "ballers."

I'm excited to watch everyone disco on the next episode.

I watched one episode. Cute concept and I like how they nab the contestants for doing non-seventies things during the run of the episode. I saw the dance contest where the boys just kicked the girls' butts.

Personally, I love the show but I keep forgetting to watch it. I'm excited to see the episode tonight though. I hope the annoying girl who keeps singing (I don't remember her name) gets kicked off. I think Joey is going to win the whole thing, but I think Ruben is the cutest.

are all the guys gay or what?

I didn't think it was too 70's, unless you were living in NYC or SF, to be openly gay and there's the blond who is always all over that one guy

I haven't seen this one, but hey, every time I went to visit my parents, I was smack dab in the middle of one, right down to the orange vinyl chairs and white table in the kitchen, and the clock radios that were egg shaped, (with built in 8-tracks).

I've seen Colonial House, as well as 2 BBC versions, one where people had to live in a Victorian House, and the other where people had to live in a WW2 house. Both were a hoot.

I'll have to look for this one
